but there's been a lot of talk of some sort of travel budget by the Big 12 that would normalize payouts to include travel costs. I think that's definitely something Big 12 schools would at least listen to if we suggested it. And they paid for some of WVU's exit fee so it's reasonable to think they'd pay for some of ours.

Texas actually makes 22-25 million a year from the total tier 3 that the ACC keeps pointing to which makes the disparity even bigger.
10 million a yr from IMG for everything that FSU makes on it's tier 3(radio, internet etc) 15 a year from ESPN(minus the cut that IMG takes)
OU is setting up a deal with FOX for their Tier 3 tv rights for an extra 5 million or so from the rumors out there. Why couldn't FSU do the same while keeping it's current tier 3 contracts?

Again, the B12 is just gonna hand FSU a check for 8 million dollars...why exactly?
The B12 thing is a internet concocted rumor that started on a Baylor site, and now has gotten so out of hand, officals at FSU have to comment on it, and some act like its real while others are like "WTF did this come from?"
I have only debated it, because most of the Pro-B12 people are basing their point of view on nonsense from websites. I just showed you what tier 3 tv rights are, but I am looney tunes.
I will say this, it may end up causing a change in acc commish, which would be good. -

Here's a couple when the LHN was announced. It makes sense when you think about it. Places like OSU and UF get 10 million a year for those 3rd tier rights that don't include television rights.
Luckily UT was the one ESPN wanted to try this out with and they paid us more than anyone thought possible for it. At the very least FSU should be able to setup something like OU is trying to do with FOX for content.
Just wanted to add that I'm one of the lucky few that have the Longhorn Network and it's pretty freaking awesome. A Longhorn version of Sportscenter every night and watching Mack/coaches during signing day sold me as the greatest thing ever.
