My Take:

If he wants to play at Florida State, it's going to be on defense. Although he is an above average receiver, he is not on the level of a few guys ahead of him. He does, however, have the skill set and the athleticism to be molded into a quality defensive back. He's also a terrific kid, as well as a very impressive student. One thing that stood out to me the last time I spoke with him was that he is a student of the game. He said he constantly is watching footage of NFL/College players and trying to work on things to make him better.

my thoughts as well, too many higher priority DBs on the board to accept Fant now. If we strike out on Burns, MA, Hargreaves and Robinson, then we would grab Fant. I see us signing at least two of those four tho.

If he wanted to be looked at as a CB he should have worked out at CB while at FSU. I think he goes to Ole Miss because FSU has other options out there for them.

Adrian Baker wasn't 'arguably the best cover corner' at the camp either. He won't even be in this class after the camp unless we completely swing and miss on guys like Rashard Robinson, Artie Burns, Mac Alexander, Hargreaves, etc. Robinson and Burns were head and shoulders above Baker out there. Hell, I would take Jesus Wilson over Adrian Baker if Wilson was set on playing corner in college.

I'm not going to talk about Warchant, Gene, DC, Michael, etc. This site and Geoff have been kicking their ass for the past 12-months is more than enough talking. You need to learn to trust the guys who actually have personal relationship with the coaches at FSU, and not the guys who are living off of reputation. The Bobby Bowden regimen is long gone....
