Tim Watts of BamaOnline will join us today at 3pm to talk about Florida State's new hires on the defensive side of the ball.
Watts has covered Jeremy Pruitt and Sal Sunseri during their time at Alabama. He has extensive knowledge of each coach on the field and on the recruiting trail.
The chat will start at 3pm, but for those of you who can't make it, feel free to leave an early question for Watts in this thread.

Timeline on the next possible hires, possible to get them done before the dead period is over?
Will Pruitt still recruit for FSU even though he coaching in the MNC, even if it is only phone calls?

Would Sunseri be better suited to be the DE or LB coach in a 4 man front?
From the outside some believe Saban has handled the DB coaching while Pruitt's main responsibility has been recruiting. What are your thoughts on that?
Do you have any idea what his philosophy will be as a DC? IE; zone or man, bend dont break or blitz heavy
Any preference to a 3 or 4 man front?
Anything to the message board rumors about Lance Thompson possibly joining the staff as well?
Is there any candidates with a connection to Sunseri or Pruitt that might fill the LB or DE position that you know of?
Would type of people are Pruitt and Sunseri?
What recruits could you see open to joining up with Pruitt at FSU? Alabama obviously sells themselves at this point but maybe someone committed elsewhere that you guys might not have had room for.
Out of curiosity are there any front runners to fill Pruitt's spot?

What areas of recruiting do they cover and how will that change compared to the three coaches who left?
Did Sal have any top targets at Tennessee that FSU may now pursue since there is no worry about offending the previous HC

Is Bisaccia a real option here? Being a Tampa Bay area native I have watched him for years and think he is VERY capable of being a NFL HC and know he has interviewed for open vacancies in the past. This would be a Home Run hire imo if we could get him. If not Bisaccia do you think Porter is the other go to option?
Another one for you is assuming Hudson is gone and Sal coaches linebackers do you feel like we could land Kevin Patrick or Hargreaves to coach DE's?

What is unique to the personnel with regards to Pruitt (defensive backs) and Sunseri (linebackers or defensive ends)? What is something they do with those positions that is different from the norm.

Do you think if Kirby Smart left next year to become a HC, Saban would ask Pruitt to be his new DC?

We are working on gathering more information on when the next hire will be made or if any new names have emerged. Nothing solid to report yet. As far as timeline, I believe the entire staff will be assembled by the end of the dead period.
