Maybe I'm off base, but it just seems like the depth of quality lineman is lacking compared to other positions every year, outside of a a few top end players. That doesn't seem to be the case this year, however.
These positions are loaded year in and out" RB WR DE DT CB LB S
These are not: QB OL TE
Is there a particular reason for that?

Type of kids in FL...
Look at the state of Illinois. Tons of OL, very few DB's and WR's. Call it the demographics of recruiting. Certain areas produce more of a certain position. There is a reason why teams like Boston College and WIsconsin's strengths are always on the OL and their weaknesses are always the skill players.

Yeah, I know, I am just trying to understand why. Just by sheer population, you would think this state would produce more in the way of lineman and QBs. Even the lineman that are produced here tend to be smaller than most others. The QBs tend to be more "athletic" than natural passers. Is it the style of high school ball that we play in state?

There are so many kids playing basketball that may go d2 who would have d1 offers in football. I went to one high school down here a few weeks back and two 6-6 260 pound kids walked in to this coaches room. I was like what is up with those two. Said fish don't get me started both would start on my OL. There are so many of those types of kids in florida. They are lied to by aau coaches that tell these guys they can go d1. They don't relaize that if you are 6-5 and can't handle the rock you are not going d1 in basketball.
