Anyone in the know have any ideas why we don't practice in the early AM or at night to avoid the lightning delays? It's almost inevitable in Florida to get afternoon showers/thunder/lightning and we schedule practice during prime time storm activity.
Is it because players are in summer classes? Are summer classes even going on right now?
Summer classes are over. Dunno the reason we don't practice in the morning or evening, we should.
One reason I can think of is that we need to practice in the heat. Another is players' class schedules.
My guess is class schedules
Fisher wants a steady routine so maybe changing practice times often isn't a good idea.
Jimbo doesn't want them to practice early because then they'll be tired and not paying attention in class afterward. He doesn't want them to practice late because after practice and dinner they won't have any time to wind down or study.
Afternoon practices means they can go to breakfast, then go to class, football meetings / practice, eat dinner, study, relax then get a good night sleep.
I don't believe they're in class now, but like a previous poster said; he wants to keep a consistent schedule.
definitely believe it has to do with classes and the players internal clock.
like mentioned above, he wants our guys able to focus during class, and on the same eating/lifting/practicing schedule every day. it gets our guys in a good routine. plus, the majority of our games are gonna be played in the mid afternoon, so it gets the players bodies used to being out around that time
"Never argue with an idiot. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience."
No classes going on right now, but you guys answered the question.
