You do realize I wasn't talking about Newberry. I was talking in general. You think every player on this team is 6 months away from gaining 20% of their body weight. I love how you just magically know that Newberry can get to 290 pounds in 6 months.
Not to mention Josh has never said Mitchell was going to move to OT. Like musi said, it was a made up move to fix a barren offensive line. I don't know definitively if Mitchell is changing positions or not (I would say not), but please check yourself, because you definitely don't know either.
The moves that have been made aware to us on this website have been Stevens moving to LB, Hicks possibly to TE and Moody possibly to LB. Mitchell and/or Newberry were never mentioned.

Unfortunately out of all the OL we landed last year only one seems to be an OT, Hart. Matias was slotted as the LT but is obviously playing G now. Pettis, Jackson, Barron, Carter (maybe but he ended up being a RS along with Pettis), Lovelady are all G or C. Imo we have 4 OTs on the team in Hart, Faircloth, Glauser, and Watson. That is 3 JRs and 1 So, it probably would help depth if we could add a RS Fr. Props to fsufsu for finding the exact quotes. All that being said it is not definite, our coaches do not force position moves and obviously coming out of HS Mitchell preferred DL.

I highly doubt a kid would be open to making a position switch in his junior year unless he's open to a redshirt to learn the position. Hicks looked good as a DE in his limited snaps at that position, Dent looked good with even less attempts at him. For Mitchell or Newberry to switch now would mean that last year was a completely wasted year for both of them. LOS to RB/WR? That makes 100% NO SENSE at all!! Two positions we're NOT hurting at all are RB and WR where as safety we're paper thin.
