If the Big Ten took a 4-team "pod" from the southeast I think it's easily the best option for FSU. Best academics BY FAR and would give us some serious peers to aspire to be more like (think research and endowment). And very good athletics, too. Oh, yea, did I mention the conference REVENUE is the best in the country?
You guys are willing to go to Ames, Manhattan, Lawrence, Stillwater, Lubbock and Waco but not Lincoln, Iowa City, Madison, Bloomington, East Lansing and the like?
This is easy. Big Ten > Big 12 ALL DAY, EVERY DAY!

Nebraska isn't AAU. And Michigan and Wisconsin even voted to expel Nebraska from the AAU after inviting them to the Big Ten. We are ranked higher than Nebraska in the US News. We aren't a complete outlier in the Big Ten like Louisville is in the ACC. And if we were added with an AAU like GT and fairly well regarded university like Miami I'm not sure it'd matter much.
Would the Big Ten scoff at FSU and let the Big 12 block them out of the Florida market forever? Seems shortsighted on their part if they did. The benefits could be enormous.
