You don't need to be an insider to see the following:
*FSU has had to cut it's budget 2 years in a row now.
*ACC TV contracts worth a LOT less than the BIG 4 conferences and the gap is growing
*The likely new playoff system will have an RPI component that will make it unlikely we see an ACC team in that game very much. Maybe 1 or 2 a decade
*The likely revenue sharing of the new playoff system will likely add another area where the ACC is greatly outpaced compared to the Big 4 conferences in revenue. This likely will wind up being the biggest money difference.
*ACC bowl lineups are terrible
*FSU fans still prefer SEC refs in the swamp to our own ACC refs. That statement alone shows the ACC as pathetic
*ACC has only STRENGTHENED it's focus on basketball instead of seeing football is where the money is.
etc, etc, etc
No, the Big 12 isn't perfect....neither is the ACC. The question is, what is FSU's best option?
It is easier to argue for status quo and harder to argue for change.....just human nature. We hate change as a species.

Laura, I remember that thread. He didn't care too much for the fact that a lot of his opinions, and what he heard, didn't even make sense in today's landscape. My issue personally, was that his points were flat out bad, contradicted each other, and led me to believe that his sources were just talking heads like anyone else.
That's fine....but the level to which he was so close minded was just poor. I'll be honest...it came across like a guy upset that he couldn't leave his doorstep anymore to watch games in ACC land. That's not my problem, and not FSU's problem. And based on his adamant nature following staying in the ACC geographic footprint, I'd be shocked if he even had season tickets.
