  • No one on here believed me on here when I said I felt sorry for the Magic because they missed their window and Dwight was as good as gone. The writing is on the wall. He is already setting it up for him leaving, him mentioning the writers is trying to make an excuse already.

I just hope he doesnt go to the Lakers, Im sick of them being good

  • If I were him, Chicago would look pretty good to me.

Or going somewhere to team up with Chris Paul.

How would he wind up in Chicago? By trade?

  • I was thinking Free Agency. However, how about a Deng and Noah package? The $'s are pretty close.

I can't imagine Orlando giving him up for that, but if they want to make sure they get something in return then it's a possibility. I can't see them having enough money available to get Howard during FA.

Man, it would be tough for me to watch my Magic with Noah on the team. Can't stand that girl.

  • The Lakers is the only other team Dwight will play for. The question is: Do the Magic lose him to FA like they did with Shaq, or do they do a sign and trade?

IMO: They trade Bynum and Odom for Dwight. That's the only win win situation for both. Gasol has seen his better days. The Magic would be dumb for settling for Gasol.

  • How is Odom/Bynum a win for ORL?

I'm not a fan of any team anymore after MJ, but being down here in Miami, it's easy to get caught up in the frenzy. I'm watching more basketball than I ever have lately.

  • If you put Jamal Crawford on the '92 Dream Team, they would have lost to Ireland.

    The guy just oozes losing.

Lakers will not trade Odom and Bynum for Howard. They will trade Bynum in a heartbeat and something else to sweeten the pot maybe but I doubt they touch Odom.

  • We need to keep Dwight and make a move for Chris Paul.

How? We don't have any assets that are desirable in a trade and that would match up with Chris Paul's value...who wants Hedo and Gilbert Arenas. They have 3 years on their contracts, so it's not like someone would take them because production to contract value isn't there.

  • If Otis makes the right moves this offseason, Dwight will not go anywhere. Otis will do anything and everything to keep Howard and I have the faith that Howard will stay.

We won't be able to get Paul (if we even have a chance) until either after the first week of July or after next season ends.

It could be possible to include one or more other teams to land Paul in Orlando, but it's still a long shot.

  • I was playing poker with Eddie Jones former heat player about 2 weeks ago. He said in his opinion Dwight was gone he would go to New Jersery. It makes complete sense they will be in Brooklyn the time hes a free agent. They have Deron Williams and will still have cap room after signing Dwight. They have another big men that can rebound and play defense to take the pressure of Dwight.

I am a huge Magic fan but will probably give up on the NBA if Dwight leaves. Its a slap in the face to all the small market teams that help make the NBA what it is to have all there stars leaving. The NBA needs to do something to protect the small market teams because at some point there fans will stop watching and buying tickets. Thats why the NFL is so great you can rebuild quickly and there is parity throughout the league. Something the NBA is severly lacking.

If Dwight leaves we will be set back just like when Shaq left

If Dwight leaves it will be the death knell for this franchise, period. Losing not one but two hall of fame caliber players to foolishness and free agency is unforgivable. I'm still bitter about losing Shaq, and trading Chris Webber for Hardaway. Big men are such a premium in the league and failing yet again to lock up the guy you built a new arena for and who is the absolute core of your team is unacceptable. That arena will be EMPTY without him unless they somehow manage to land some other superstar to replace him but that is not going to happen. If they lose him this franchise will be done until it's sold and someone else tries to put it back together or moves it to another city. Utter foolishness....rant

  • Orlando's one chance, might be say 9and this is just an example) a deal with the Knicks for someone like Amare for Dwight, because I think it is obvious he is leaving anyway.
