Noles close to flipping Bama commit

    Great. Point taken. This a recruiting story and commenting thread on an FSU website. I don't think anyone here has an interest in reading about how the kid would make a huge mistake leaving the greatness of the windswept mudholes of Mobile for Tallahassee. And I don't understand why there seems to be bammer confusion about how their comments are not being well-received.

    Of course as a bama fan I'm going to comment when I read stupid post about how "delusional" our fan base is. The fact is FSU underachieves when you factor in how well they recruit. From 2004-2010 FSU recruited outside the top 10 one time(21 in 2007), according to rivals. In the same span they landed the number 2 class once and number 3 class twice. In that span they are 57-34(12 of the wins have been vacated). That is a .626% WP without the wins being vacated and .570 with. Yet, FSU fans seem to think landing the top recruits will actually help you guys win, so I ask you, who is being delusional?

    You're right, Mark Stoops has terrible reputation as a defensive backs coach. Not to mention how awful the entire defense performed last year. Really makes one wonder why.

    Perhaps you should do a little more reseach. Those classes had unbelievable amounts of non qualifies, injuries and general attrition before the class even enrolled. These classes, if rerated on enrollment, were borderline top-25.

    Excuse me, but what--other than winning a title game ESPN bought you into and one previous--gives your fans any credibility to come here and clarify for us our delusions?

    When we were winning titles and strung together the greatest modern era college football dynasty, I wasn't over at your board telling you about your delusions (Alabama at that time was mired in mediocrity up to its neck for those few decades).

    True, but these are the recruits that you guys chose to go after. Every team has non-qualifies, injuries, and general attrition. Bama had 2 five star players out of Julio's class(2008) that never played! B.J Scott transferred and Tyler Love never played, so he left after this past season. Just so you know, I am not trying to offend, just being real.

    And more than half of the time span you recite was under coaches that were asleep at the wheel. Optimism now is based in large part on the fact that our coaches, much like yours, simply don't sleep. Ever.

    I do. Yes. I do think OSU was better and wouldn't have entailed putting a team that could not win not only its conference, but its division in the MNC game.

    Only through your vast TV contracts could you have pulled off being in the MNC game as the 3rd place team in your conference.

    that is hard to say considering they didn't play... you can't assume who is or isn't better... cause the game of football has some crazy thing that happen.. Do you think OSU would lose to ISU if they were to play again...

    what facts... fact is our program just like most if not all has had troubling times... you ARROGANCE of coming in here cause of a kid who might be flipping to say why go to FSU cause we are not good and will not be good for him to get to the next level and so forth,. that sir is arrogance... not a fact cause the fact is you have no idea what he will or wont do in college at either school.

    No, 4 years ago as a bama fan we still had more national titles then anyone else( way more then FSU BTW). If you are content on talking about history, lets talk about the entire history and not a history that benefits only you.

    Really... amazing, did not know that but yet was still irrelevant as in the terms of present time... Don't deflect from what we are talking about... That is the problem with some Bama fans they have to spin it to their favor... You said we were not relevant right.. so what was Bama 4 years ago, I believe you said average correct... but now you would rather talk about past..

    again going back 4 years ago is not history buddy...
