Guy's enjoy this all you want in the recruiting world. On the field is where it matters because no matter how much talent kids have they still have to be coached up and I haven't seen this done to much in recent years at FSU. Championships are won in the fall not in February.

I don't live in Bama either but what Saban has done in the past few years is nothing short of remarkable. You may not like him but results speak for themselves and all he has done is deliver the goods. Jimbo has been in the FSU program since 2007 and look at FSU's record since that time. Your recruiting has been great with all kinds of talent coming on board and I think JW was the best QB in the nation last year but I have yet to see that translated to wins on the field. Sometime getting all the best kids talent wise does not translate to good chemistry on the field, you need kids that fit into your program and will do what it takes regardless if they start or not. A prime example of what I am talking about is in the BCSCG a kid named Gentry was all over the place making pIays and he was not even a starter but he paid the price in the program and on the biggest stage in college football he played his best game. I am not saying Jimbo can't get it done but if he doesn't win the ACC this year people will be calling for his head regardless.

I don't know why I'm doing this to myself, since I have a greater chance of converting a member of the Taliban to convert to Christianity.
Jimbo has only been the HC for two years. You need not pay attention to anything before then. Just because he was the OC doesn't mean he had control over who Florida State signed at other positions. Bobby Bowden still had the final say. Speaking of good ole' Bobby, he also kept coaches on staff who had no business coaching D1 ball at any school (Jody Allen, Dexter Carter, Chuck Amato, Todd Stroud) while Jimbo was here, which hurt the development of Jimbo's RB's, our DE's were abysmal, LB's were atrocious, and our strength and conditioning was a joke.
Jimbo has won 19 games in two years as the HC. The same exact amount of wins as Nick Saban in his first two years at Alabama. Our record this past season (9-4) is not an indication of how good we really are. Our OL was decimated by injuries before the season even started, and we lost our best running back to a broken back, our best receiver to a concussion before game one, our All-Conference LT, and then EJ missed time due to an injury in the Oklahoma game.
Fisher has had to re-build the program from the ground up, so to speak, and not just in regards to talent on the field. I'll spare you a third paragraph on the details, because you've already come to your conclusion on what FSU is presently without doing your homework. I do agree with you that FSU needs to do something big this year though.
