Noles close to flipping Bama commit

Alabama fans are delusional. What do they think Saban is going to do?

I'll check with them when I call them Monday to go over 2nd. quarter advertising planning. I imagine Saban will personally go to the kid, and meet with him, or send a bevy of coaches to do same, and sell him on their MNC's, etc. Our depth chart, Fisher's relatively new kid on the blocks dynamics, and ACC is less than SEC are things I've heard used in the past against us. This is IF Saban wants to hold onto the kid.

Bushido was correct 100% boyo! Bama fans are perhaps the most arrogant I've ever encountered. You should hear what they're saying about Jamies now that he's a Seminole and not an Olyphant.

Up-vote for fsukum. You can return the favor for other dontcherknow ifn ya wanna.

Bama fans already saying they don't want him because his "handler" is becoming too big of an issue. LOL

This is just not true. We want the kid real bad but he is getting A LOT of pressure to stay instate.

  • Was this the Big News from a week or so? If so, I like it. Burns should be at or close to the top of our want list for DB's.

  • Guy's enjoy this all you want in the recruiting world. On the field is where it matters because no matter how much talent kids have they still have to be coached up and I haven't seen this done to much in recent years at FSU. Championships are won in the fall not in February.

Nice to finally come out on the winning side of one of these "I'm committed to A, but B leads and C is ahead of A" scenarios.

the winning side? thats funny! Yeah Artie, go to FSU, and see how much hardware you bring home. Also, see your stock tumble when you try to go to the draft in 4 years

Thank you captain obvious.... fyi it was year 2 for Fisher. Never knew we judge a coaches career in only 2 years.

BTW your comments come off as being bitter... just saying

I know right. Why go to FSU.... They get none drafted.... man you are way to homerish..... it isn't like Burns can't have success at FSU or get drafted..

Most Bama fans I know and I know a lot are humble and not arrogant like this. Ever heard of act like you have been there before....

Are you an idiot in real life too? Or do you just play one on the internet?

Florida State had the No.4 ranked defense in college last season, and we will have 8-9 players on defense alone drafted next year.

I don't live in Bama either but what Saban has done in the past few years is nothing short of remarkable. You may not like him but results speak for themselves and all he has done is deliver the goods. Jimbo has been in the FSU program since 2007 and look at FSU's record since that time. Your recruiting has been great with all kinds of talent coming on board and I think JW was the best QB in the nation last year but I have yet to see that translated to wins on the field. Sometime getting all the best kids talent wise does not translate to good chemistry on the field, you need kids that fit into your program and will do what it takes regardless if they start or not. A prime example of what I am talking about is in the BCSCG a kid named Gentry was all over the place making pIays and he was not even a starter but he paid the price in the program and on the biggest stage in college football he played his best game. I am not saying Jimbo can't get it done but if he doesn't win the ACC this year people will be calling for his head regardless.

They're so caught up in their success (rightfully so), that they don't have a f'n clue on what's going on at Florida Stat right now. Our defense was on some goon shit last season, hurting people, dominating, and that was with only two seniors starting.

Glad a Bama fan is coming to an FSU board trying to tell us about our program. Do some research on what Jimbo did with our offense while being hampered with the lazy recruiting tactics of Bowden and the entire defensive staff before you spout off.

Sorry to inform you but Jimbo had no say so in a lot of what took place at FSU until he was the actual HC, he has won 19 games with a very young and talented teams.... your recent success has been incredible but you tend to forget the years of well average. So don't assume that it will not or is not being turned around at FSU.....

I don't know why I'm doing this to myself, since I have a greater chance of converting a member of the Taliban to convert to Christianity.

Jimbo has only been the HC for two years. You need not pay attention to anything before then. Just because he was the OC doesn't mean he had control over who Florida State signed at other positions. Bobby Bowden still had the final say. Speaking of good ole' Bobby, he also kept coaches on staff who had no business coaching D1 ball at any school (Jody Allen, Dexter Carter, Chuck Amato, Todd Stroud) while Jimbo was here, which hurt the development of Jimbo's RB's, our DE's were abysmal, LB's were atrocious, and our strength and conditioning was a joke.

Jimbo has won 19 games in two years as the HC. The same exact amount of wins as Nick Saban in his first two years at Alabama. Our record this past season (9-4) is not an indication of how good we really are. Our OL was decimated by injuries before the season even started, and we lost our best running back to a broken back, our best receiver to a concussion before game one, our All-Conference LT, and then EJ missed time due to an injury in the Oklahoma game.

Fisher has had to re-build the program from the ground up, so to speak, and not just in regards to talent on the field. I'll spare you a third paragraph on the details, because you've already come to your conclusion on what FSU is presently without doing your homework. I do agree with you that FSU needs to do something big this year though.

I think most realistic fans understand that FSU is going to be back on the upswing. All good teams will have up and down years, we have had our share and now we are to where we expect.

Wow bitter much?? It's funny, Bama has had all this success the last few years..........winning national championships 2 of the last 3 years. Yet Bama fans come over to the board of a program who hasn't won a NC in 13 years and is talking trash. Wow some of you Bama fans are certified. It's not like one DB recruit is going to win y'all a championship. And y'all are freaking out because the kid MIGHT decommit and go somewhere else. Lol I'm telling you, something ain't right in the water down there. #HatersInTheBuilding

You are absolutely correct. Fisher needs to pull something big this year. You can pull all of the injury stuff but every program has that. You should now have the talent to backup any injury. If you guys don't do some great things this year then you have bigger problems.

  • If your championships are enough why even come over here? Just let us Noles toil in a MNC-less reality where we celebrate meaningless recruiting near-victories.

For the inventors of organized football you Bamers, uh sorry, Bammers come off as insecure, whiny little bitches everytime another school presses for one of your recruits. If all you do is win titles, then you should ignore us, right?

So maybe just shut the fuck up and beat it. Go polish your hardware and act like nothing else exists in this world except Bama ball. Your arrogance is boring and predictable. You'd think Bama fans would be less inclined to talk trash to FSU considering what happened the last time the two schools actually met. But that's just me.
