Well opposite of Powell will be Earl Okine, 6'7'' 280 SR DE...Bullard,Telvin Westbrook,Quinteze Williams,Kendrick Johnson will also get looks oppposite of Powell. It all depends what kind of fronts were running too, we dont have the personal to run a full on 3-4 yet. In a 4-3 Larentee McCray will be the DE opposite of Powell with Easley an Floyd inside. Omar Hunter an Leon Orr are our returning DTs. Orr is an athletic freak at 6'5'' 310 can do standing backflips. Also Damien Jacobs should come right in an contribute. RS Fresh DE Telvin Westbrook has prob outgrown the DE position already at 6'6'' 300 so he might move inside as well...At LB Jon Bostic an Jelani Jenkins return too, an all their back-ups..Throw in Fowler who will also add much needed depth at the "buck" positon in the 3-4 an prob put his hand in the dirt in the 4-3...

I remember last year at this time of the year all the UF fans were swearing up and down they wont lose more than 4 games and UF's record will be 8-4. I think UF will go 6-6 again because they are breaking in another new OC with a brand new QB in Brissett/Driskel and their offense will continue to struggle IMO.

And FSU fans were equally as optimistic about FSU's upcoming season.
What would FSU's offense had looked like against USCe, Bama, UGA, and LSU's defenses? Especially after the injury bug?
Im not seeing 6-6, due to an easier schedule; with that said, I also dont believe UF's oline will dramatically improve over an offseason.
Olines dont usually transform overnight or over a single offseason. UFs oline has been miserable since the 09 season actually.

Good point, I think FSU would beat USCe and UGA but lose to LSU and Bama before the injury bug, after the injury bug I wouldn't have confidence in saying FSU would beat UGA but it could happen (still think we beat USCe regardless)
and I know you are having a difficult time seeing UF going 6-6 because it is your favorite team after all and it is difficult to think your team will have another disappointing year, it is just simply my opinion that UF will go 6-6 maybe 7-5 next year

Florida has a ton of talent but I am predicting 7-5 for UF. Part of that is that I am predicting 1-1 in the at TAMU and at UTk startoff. I think UF's QB will be pressing and the lack of go to RBs and WRs will stand out too much.
Florida still does not really come together in 2013 either unless you have a QB really come on, breakout players at WR, Humphries be LEGIT, all three stud DL return, etc.

Im looking forward to Davis also. But, outside of Halapio and Chaz Green, when healthy, the oline sucks.
Patchan has skills, but Ill never count on him to stay healthy, Nixon is the softest guy on the team, the rest really just have 2nd team skills andt are being forced to play like starters.
Hopefully they will actually stay healthy at least. If we get them to at least lineup together and grow from week to week, we have a shot.
I pray Humphries adapts to weight gain better than Nixon. I rather he sit out and get a comfortable playing weight instead of rushing his body as Nixon did. Nixons body never held up.

Well I never said Okine was a beast, I never even said he would make a major impact..I said he might start opposite of Ropo. An I agree with you on Powell needing to have a Jarvis Jones type of year, but that is best case scenario. Shariff was out of position last year, when he moved inside for the OSU game he absolutly dominated. That OSU game is another reason I thinko our front 7 will be good next year..Every one an their brother picked them to beat us in the bowl game, an our guys had 12 tackles for loss an 6 sacks vs them...

, you're right but the thread title has UF in it, so you have to expect lurkers to give their two cents. That's the best part of 247 to me.
