  • I had a hard disc copy Friday night and started playing, it's not terrible but to this point not an improvement from last year. I'll put some more time in and see, I had over 500 games last year, 365-160 and ranked in the 60's. Jmho

  • I really only care about dynasty. I heard they let you know the draft results which is better than nothing I guess. I want to know what the SPARQ 100 looks like since in the past there have been an absurd amount of RBs and WRs. I swear like 20 of the 25 5*s would be a RB/WR. There would be like 7 5* RBs in the top 10. It was dumb as hell.

Oh and I hope they fix the fact that MidMajors would be in the NC every other year.

  • That is the kind of list of "problems" that I laugh at every year and I didn't even read the entire thing. Complaining about DBs getting beat on triple moves in man coverage? Deion Sanders would get beat on a triple move if the defense gave the QB time to throw and he was on an island. DBs not pattern reading? That is a huge bit of programming to code for the DB to prioritize opposing players and break off his pre-designed area of responsibility because it looks like the opponent is going to do something else.

Some people want the game to be deeper than it actually is, but EA isn't trying to make a note for note perfect simulation of how CFB would be in an ideal world. It is trying to make a game that balances simulating the sport with being accessible to the common person. And the common fan doesn't know 21 personnel from a Cowboy blitz or Cover 3 zone. And honestly I doubt most people who parrot lists like that as serious problems know either.

Yep that's when i stopped reading too. People forget that it is a game. Also almost all of that stuff will get fixed by patches anyway.

As long as they finally fixed the Super LB swat, i will be happy.

I'm more concerned with how it feels when my WR runs, what equipment is available and how dynasty is than stuff like that.

  • When you get the game, would someone quickly simulate through 3 years of dyansty and tell me the results (W-L)?

No recruiting or anything, just quickly simulate with the best team on the game. I simulate most games (I'll typically play the bowl and conference title games) and last years version would leave me with 6-6 records nearly every season with an A+ team. I was losing 3-4 games a year to B and C rated schools, which is ridiculous.

If that isn't fixed, I am not buying this version of the game.

  • Should I go buy this game? I enjoyed 12 for the most part until Skyrim came out.

  • I'd wait for Bushido to give you the name of his rosters to upload. They're the bomb diggidy every year.

  • Got the game at midnight last night, really happy with it so far. Noticeable gameplay improvements. Waiting until I get a set of rosters before I dig into dynasty though.

If anyone knows a PSN name with a set of rosters, please, let me know.

Could you quickly simulate a few seasons with a team like bama and tell me the records, please? I want to know if they fixed the massive amount of upsets when simulating. No recruiting or roster management required.

Sure, give me a few minutes and I'll post results.

  • Awesome! Can't thank u enough.

  • People who hated recruiting before are really going to hate it now lol. Now you have to scout as well as recruit. An OVR rating is shown for each kid, but it isn't always accurate. I have seen kids go up or down 4-6 points after being fully scouted. There also is a new pitch for play style for each position. This rating actually goes up or down through the year based on how you play. Start throwing a lot of picks or only running the ball and your play style grade for QBs will drop in the middle of the season.

The recruiting menu itself has also becoming sortable based on OVR, where they sit on your board and a couple of other things. If you fill your board up to 35 it can actually be a bit overwhelming.

  • Here's the results of the first season:

You asked for Bama - they went 9-4, lost to Michigan (25-24), at #5 Arkansas (34-21), at Tennessee (21-7), and Ohio State (41-27) in the Capital One Bowl.

On the homefront, FSU went 11-3, losing to Duke (13-10), at #8 VaTech (29-21), and Rutgers (31-28) in the Orange Bowl.

Montee Ball won the Heisman, and Utah won the BCSCG over Arkansas, 35-17.

    Shall I continue?

This is why I sim every ranked game myself, so that I can back out and do it again if I don't like the results. It may be a little time consuming (not much..) but it guarantees that teams like Duke don't beat FSU, and Utah isn't playing for a NC

That would be a horrible year. I rather win the Champs Sports Bowl again than to lose to Rutgers in the Orange Bowl. Then again it would not really matter since half the fanbase would be on suicide watch while the other half went through with the process after losing to Duke.

I wish I have the free time you have. That seems time consuming

I prefer fsu and college football to pro football but other than maybe 4 or 5 games a year, ncaa collects dust the second madden comes out and with the improvements in madden, this year looks like. Ore of the same

Yeah, I gotcha. Normally I'm playing every game myself (yeah, I've got some free time) so I usually do well. If I play a game and lose though, I don't change the result.

same. football games are kind of time consuming, though, that my friends and i play much more fifa.

  • It's not that time consuming..

    Takes only 10-15 minutes.
