Why do you have Weber State instead of Montana? The Griz lead the Big Sky by a game and if they win out will host the BSC Tournament.
Thanks for posting these though, even without the Noles in the conversation, the NCAA Tournament is such an amazing event. Hopefully SamENole will come by and post his thoughts as well.
Duke doesn't deserve a one but will probably get one, since they are savvy with scheduling non conference games. Wins over UK and OSU look less impressive now.
If Miami beats them this weekend and one other B1G team finishes strong, I can't see how you justify two ACC number 1s and only one from the B1G.
UNC could beat Duke as well to close the season.
So many teams have been losing games they shouldn't, it's a hard year to seed.
Well yes, if Duke loses to Miami then they are probably no longer a #1, but since when do any of these brackets take into consideration what they think is going to happen in the future. It is all about, if the NCAAT started now, what would it look like.
I still think Duke deserves a #1 as of now. They have been winning games without Ryan Kelly, who is supposed to be back soon. Even with 4 losses, that is still tied for the best overall record (of all major conference teams) and when you have the best record along with the toughest schedule, I think that says you are at the top. Plus we all know when Duke plays on the road in the ACC they are getting everyone's best shot, just like we do in football. I feel like if Duke loses just 1 more game from now until the NCAAT starts, that they are a #1. Meaning if they lose to Miami, but win the ACCT, they are a #1, or if they beat Miami, but say lose the ACCT Final, they are a #1. A 29-5 Duke team is a #1.
