  • DId it ever come out why Floyd sat out so much of the fourth quarter? I know he got banged up on a couple of catches, but the sideline reporter claimed that when Floyd took himself out near the middle of the fourth quarter, he was motioning as if he had been punched in the gut.

Even if he was hurting, seems to me that in his last game, he should have been out there if he could run. At least be a decoy. Maybe I'm being insensitive, but I thought it looked awfully weak to be sitting on the sidelines in that situation.

He initially got injured on the hit from Joyner (The play where Rhodes was injured.) Then he got injured again on the play where Reid got knocked out.

Flloyd injured his hip area, and when he was in the game later it was obvious he wasn't going to be physically effective because he was limping and grimacing. There was no point for him to play as a Decoy because FSU could afford to leave him in one on one coverage.

The sideline reporter used a poor metaphor, and people who didn't realize that assumed that Flloyd insinuated that he was punched by an FSU player.

  • He got injured on his bobbled TD when Bradham speared him in his stomach. That is what they said during the game anyways

  • He got Joynered then Bradhamed, No man is coming back after that. Really, Joyner whopped him then Bradham put a helmet to his gut on the TD and I am not sure what was wrong with him but he looked uncomfortable

  • He quit. In his mind he had already gone pro before the game started.

If I were an NFL scout, I'd be afraid that your assessment is the correct one. Far from me to judge, having as much athletic talent as a cadaver, but it did look like he quit.
