Wrong, he went to ND because of their academics not because of playing style.

i think what people are saying is that he's better in a 3-4 mlb because he can just be that run stopping thumper for his role. Deeb's not nearly as athletic as Te'o but based on the film I've seen (I know these are only highlights...so I'll defer to people who've seen more complete film or live) he seems more instinctive.
I wanted him pretty bad, too, but we have quite a few targets at LB.

I'm actually a little haply this happened. Now we can close out the LB class with Thomas and Stevenson. I'm much higher on Stevenson than Deeb.
