Well wats worse? Going 6-6 with a team filled with seniors n juniors or going 6-6 with a team filled of freshmen n sophmores.

    You hope you go 6-6.

Funny that you mentioned 6-6 because numerous people feel the same way(I think 8-4). @ least some of you see the reality so if that does happen(6-6) I'm sure you guys will be on here talking about "UM having another dismal season @ 6-6". And with FSU fans being so understanding, then ya'll should beat us by @ least 21 then right? If not then is that considered being a disappointment? Since we are so young & all. Not every body can add a Savannah St. late to the schedule(NOT FSU FAULT I understand that) & Murray St. Yeah we have a cupcake(Bethune), but 2 OOC opponents will be ranked ND, & KSU. I look forward to this year, & personally I think we will surprise some people this year, even some of our own fans! So best of luck to you all I'm sure we will see you guys will be lifting the NC trophy this year, or @ least you should with all these top 5 recruiting classes & expectations. Oh & FWIW don't want to hear to much more on AG & his 3* guys. Last time I checked I think good ole Jimbo is getting a nice collection of his own so far for the year. Just proves, it's not all about 4* & 5* guys. 6 out of 8 isn't bad.

why do UM fans assume us FSU fans are expecting on lifting the NC trophy cause of the recruiting classes.... we should be at least competing but it takes some things going your way to lift that prize, also if the oline doesn't improve we will be lucky to lift the ACC trophy

alright i'm tired of fsu fans talking shit. unlike florida state, miami actually produces produces nfl receivers so i'm sure someone will step up, more than likely phillip dorsett or rashawn scott. travis benjamin and streeter will both be drafted, even laron byrd who may not be drafted will still make an nfl roster because of his size/speed combo. as far as the team losing alot of talent, which they did, the only ones that i see actually hurting the team was lamar miller and tommy streeter. the oline has plenty of depth especially with seantrel henderson completely healthy. the d line has gotten alot stronger with U Tough, curtis porter and darius smith reported doing 30+ reps of 225 and you all are completely retarded if you think anthony chickallo is "ok". ricardo williams is up to 6'5 253, gaining 30 pounds after redshirtting last year. i'm not saying miami is going undefeated by any means but saying that the team is talentless is laughable. this isn't central florida where a few people leaving is going to kill the program.

Your defensive line is terrible AND injury prone. You will get dogged by 4-5 offenses this year.

  • 253 for ricardo? hes catchin your dts weight lol I also just read u return 4 scholarship wr? wow good luck this year

You guys won't win 7 games next year no matter how many days of U Tough you do.

  • Last year is just that last year. The argument of losing by less than 8 points might work if you didn't lose 15 starters. I'm trying to look at your team honestly and I don't see many quality players. Chick will be good, but who else on your dline is any good? Your secondary who has VT(who is a stud) and Armstrong who is ok, but that's it. Odds of a true frosh db being great aren't that good. On offense, other than dorsett I don't see any playnakers. Duke will be good, but it won't matter because no one will be scared of your qb or wr.

This is a FSU message board so we will continually say what we want about your team. If your too thin skinned to take it, leave. If you dont think those losses are huge, there is no cure for what you have. All the utough workouts in the world wont change your lousy defensive line or lack of weapons on offense. If you finish 6-6 you should be thrilled.

I'm not assuming 24, just going by some things I have read in the past. I totally agree with your remarks on things going your way, etc. to reach "the prize". But it's "arrogant fans" such as FSUFSU who start topics such as "Who do we play in the ACCCG". My assumption on WE would be FSU since this is an FSU site. Again we(UM fans) feel you(24) are 1 of the few logical 1s when it comes to certain things far as UM goes. Again my remarks on the "lifting the trophy" thing is from threads like the above mentioned, & what I've read in the past. Again looking forward to HOPEFULLY UM making alot of people eat crow this upcoming year. UM will be YOUNG, but will turn some heads this year. Best of luck to UUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU, FSU!

No that is an honest question. Going 6-6 with youth is better as they get experience.

Agree. 6-6 would be progress for them this year.

Now the question is if their "decision" isn't done until next March do they try to sit out another weak bowl game to gain favor?

I realize us talking about the OL being our weakness may come across a certain way to other fans but we have what we need. We have highly recruited guys, many who have played at FSU, returning or at least in for the spring. We have size, talent, and depth. Aka, not at all the situation your DL is in.

Your DL is Anthony Chickillo who isn't that great and the fun bunch. Shayon Green, Darius Smith, Curtis Porter as starters? Good grief man.

Just because FSU fans bemoan our OL last year and wish it was more of a slam dunk to improve going forward doesn't mean we won't be perfectly fine there.

Actually agree with this completely. Lookie, an upvote for you!

Wow this is just awful. Jacory Harris accounted for 195 of Miami's 222 completions (87%), 300 of Miami's 339 pass attempts (88%), 2,486 of Miami's 2,785 passing yards (89%), and 20 of Miami's 21 passing TD's (95%). The only other TD was from a WR, and the only other QB who saw the field in 2011 is undergoing back surgery.
To continue, Miami loses 288 out of 398 carries (72%), 1,379 out of 1,748 yards rushing (79%), and 9 out of 18 (50%) rushing TD's.
Miami also loses 56% of their WR&TE catches, 61% of recieving yards, and 66% of recieving TD's.
Add on to this they lose 3 OLinemen who have started every game over the last two seasons, combined for 80 starts, two of which have recieved All-ACC honors in the last two seasons.
Your defense also loses it's 5 best DLinemen on roster, it's best corner, and by far it's best player in Sean Spence.
Not only this, but many of the guys leaving, have NFL talent and lots of experience, now they're being replaced by either awful players, or players with little to no experience, or both. Miami is going to get beat up this season, face it.

  • In all reality, the people we lost can and will be easily replaced. ( except for Miller) Unlike other UM fans don't realize most of 2011 class used their redshirt status. So they've had over a year to learn the playbook and become bigger and stronger. With Howard, Bush, Kirby, Duke, McCord and maybe Carter who I think will replace streeter. We will not miss a beat. Like i said before we will go 11-1 with the only lost to UVA. Orange Bowl champs if the NCAAssholes doesn't screw us. Offensively and defensively I think we've upgraded every position, ( except RB ) and for some to say our D-Line will be weak. Are you freaking serious ????? Both projected starters are well over 300lb. You guys missed porter in last years game, because of injury. This guy is a beast. Don't for get about the plug, who also had an excellent off season. If I remember correctly our half azz D-Line did a great job of slowing your offense down. I was there on the fifty !!!!! Defensively were are going to be scary, I think Coach D is going to open the playbook more this season. Last year with D wasn't all that talented, event with suspensions and all that NCAA crap teams still only beat us by a touchdown or less. We had a freaking Wake Forest reject starting CB who almost had a pick against you guys. Now imagine we have the number one corner in the nation. Wow, doubt us now, but in reality you all know were a force to be taken serious. The Evil Empire Strikes Back !!!!! In Golden We Trust !!!!! It's All About The U !!!!!!!

then this, not all freshman step in year one and contribute, 2 or 3 usually do..... not 7,8,9,10...
