OcalaNole,
Dude you can't ever compare Boston College with Miami, that's like comparing FSU with FIU, simply put the talent level that each school brings in for Playmakers is totally different, with that being said OP we are very confident with returning starters in the OL and a more seasoned WR corp. I would also like to add our TE unit will be pretty good this year. Also we have a pretty good QB coming back who will only get better in his growth.
Now the concern we have is our Defense if they play well, I can see us in the top 25.

All games are important, if you don't think so try losing one and see how people act.-B.Bowden

This is mostly on point, IMO.
I think Miami will be in contention for the coastal division next year (which I realize isn't saying much right now) and should win against the likes of GT along with the bottom feeders of the ACC. They have one of the best offensive lines in the conference with a senior quarterback, that'll win you a few football games. Obviously the defense has to play better, but I definitely could see them popping in and out of the top 25 throughout the year.

Well he certainly has the fan-base buying in. Now if he could leverage his "marketing" skills into recruiting success. The talent base is only beneficial if he signs those elite south Florida players. At this point, he hasn't shown the ability to consistently do so.

Boston College is much closer to Miami's talent level than you want to believe; and they are much closer in talent than FIU is with FSU.
Just because you return a lot of starters doesn't mean you'll be successful. Your defensive limitations aren't due to lack of experience, it's due to a lack of talent.

One problem, you're making the assumption that, since it's Miami, they're loaded with talent. Believe us, we were in that same boat several years ago. It wasn't until the losses and diminished draftees started to add up that we began to realize it. Boston College is much closer to Miami's talent level than you want to believe; and they are much closer in talent than FIU is with FSU.

& it will never appear to be great to outsiders (or even me) as long as he continues to recruit all of these unknown 3* & 2* players. It'll take a couple years to see how well he develops those players to see if he truly does have teh recruiting eye for players that scouting services misevaluate.
