To help give you guys some ideas, what I recommend is trying to come up with a number that is significant to Florida State football or history that we can use for the post count threshold to receive the badge. You will want to shoot for something in the 400-500 range for the first badge here so new members or those who just started posting will be able to earn it in a reasonable amount of time.
For example, last year, before all of the Sandusky stuff came out, our Penn State site gave badges to users who were members of the site for 409 days and had 409 posts. It rewards those users who have been members for over a year and contributors to the community.

I guess, I better start posting more because I want a badge !!
