He'll be in the gym with the rest of the OL soon, hopefully.
And by that, I mean he'll be in the gym benching members of the OL soon. He'll just go flat on his back, have Josue Matias lay on top of him, and he'll bench Matias. Over/under 10 reps?

Is't he the guy that has only been playing football for 2 years? If so, won't he need a redshirt year?

He can't RS.

He has been playing football one year. He's a 9.8 on the potential scale though.
One of the few, true dancing bears we've signed on the OL in a long time. Maybe on back to Alex Barron. Matias may count.

I recognize he's still fairly new to football, especially playing on the O-line, but I find it very hard to see too many DE's pushing him around...

Not many quality DE's use the "push" move. Most use a combination of moves, speed and power. One sets up the other. If they lock up on him it's game over, but as the rabbit of death said, "if they catch you, they will kill you......But first, they have to catch you"

I think if he wins the job, the OL has a chance to be very good a year early.
That leaves a few battles inside.
Stork is starting, my guess is at Center, but LG is a possibility also.

Jackson, Matius and Erving are starting for sure, Stork and Barron battle at center , RT is wide open

cuz, Matius struggled with DMac in the Spring game. Now, I happen to think that DMac is one of the most athletic DT's in the nation and a mismatch for most OG's, so it was most likely more about DMac's dominance and less about Matius struggling.
That being said, I think Stork is a lock to start somewhere and our most reliable/experienced OL right now.

Agreed. I've been tryin' to watch Storkie as much as possible, and from what I see, and have heard from my bud who is close to the action down there, he's mean too. Got that: "You better believe I'll killya if I get half a chance" attitude. That's stuff's contagious sometimes. I can almost hear Corch Cigarillo screamin' with glee over one of his hits.

spring game wasnt a good indicator of anything as they threw the ball 90 times. Matius had his fair share of wins against dmac. Let's remember he wasn't the starter all spring for nothing

Hart had "no chance" against Tank while Cam actually did a good job on Jenkins......Jenkins made some plays when Cam had help on the inside or from a back

Great posts in here. I also think Menelik will most likely start at RT. He's a former semi-pro boxer so he's likely familiar with a level of hard work even few of our players are familiar with.....so conditioning shouldn't be an issue. Then we have two scrimmages and Wake doesn't have a DE who can whip him either. WFU has a 6'5 260 guy who'll be a RJr that was a 5.5 three star according to rivals.

Last year according to coach T, so was Fahrenkrug.
I'll wait to see him in pads and against a defender not wearing G&G before I annoint him the second coming of Barron. JMHO
