Mel Kiper's Big Board

  • Werner checks in at No. 11.

2013 NFL draft - Shariff Floyd among biggest movers on new Big Board - ESPN

Mel Kiper ranks his top 25 prospects for the 2013 NFL draft. This week, players have shifted considerably based on NFL combine results.

  • I still think he'll get drafted top 10.

  • Werner is a lock for the top 10. I'm a big fan of Floyd's game and potential, but I believe his only sack was on EJ last year. That doesn't scream top 3 pick to me. Anywhere from 5-15 seems more likely, but it's a weird draft.

  • No Xavier? He will be a Top 20 pick

For instance, he has two guards in the top 10. I would bet about 5 billion dollars that two guards don't get selected in the top 10 picks.

  • Cuth, did he have Dustin in the top 100 too? cyclops

I've seen Werner at 2,3, 9,10,15, in the 20's since the combine. The kid is awesome and will only get better. He may not have the freakish ability as Jordan from Oregon, but he is the closest to a sure thing there is in this draft.

btw, the Georgia kid had a Mike Mamula-esque combine. I actually liked him on film(#83) in the SECCG, but thought he would be best served in a 4-3 at RDE. My Atlanta buddy said that he may not be the most wholesome character out there, however.

Agree with you on Jones. He did great, but may not be a great guy. I don't see him as a competition for Bjoern, though. You're looking for two different things depending on which you draft.

  • I meant top 10 on Dustin, doh!!!

I was Talking about Cornelius Washington, Cuth. Were you talking Jarvis Jones? Washington ran a 4.55, 39 inch vert and benched 225 36 times at 6'4, 265, which is almost exactly Werner's size.

I was. Had no idea about Washington. Those numbers are pretty nice. I had not seen them.

  • I wonder is Dustin will be drafted by the 49ers. He would get to continue his spray painting his cleats gold tradition (or has the NFL gotten worse than when I stopped living and breathing it?)

I follow the 49ers because my grandfathers brother was coaching with them for all of their super bowls and it looked like their kicker was falling apart with a lack of mental confidence.

  • Cuth, he looks good on film too. They say he isn't the most flexible guy and doesn't really have a second move. My buddy mentioned that he was kind of in and out of trouble at UGa. I'm not sure if that's true.

16, I'm back on the Niner bandwagon after a long hiatus. biggrin

I love Tank with one of the first two picks, but he is rising again on some boards. I saw him 19 to the Giants on one. Or Brandon Jenkins in the 4rth. Lonnie in the 6th. Maybe Rodney in the 5th or 6th.

I'd take Rhodes with one of the first two picks if he falls, but I don't think he will.

I would also take Elam if he was there. I know that is sacriledge, but the kid can play. I like Deandre Hopkins as well from Clemson. And Marcus Lattimore in the 4rth round.
