  • At the end of the day, he can asy what he wants, but when a kid from BTW has a Miami offer, he goes to Miami. I am not saying we won't get him, but I am not buying in until he is committed to FSU. Until then, it is all talk to me. Similar to Tunsil with his random groups of leaders.

  • I think we will get him. There is a lot for him to like including playing time, TV exposure, fan base, etc.The trick will be can Jimbo and the FSU staff keep Thomas after he has committed. Schools like Alabama and Miami will continue to come after him hard and we will need to hold on to him.

    Normally I would agree but something about Thomas is different. He wants out of Miami. He wants to get his family on board and bring them up to Tallahassee for a visit.

  • FSU and Miami are heading different directions from here till NSD as well. If we lead now only, ONLY, location could win the day for Miami.

    I agree that ONLY location would win out. That being said, there is no reason that can't work. It worked for Artie Burns, it can work for others. BTW is a Miami feeder school. You don't have to convince me that FSU is in a better position, I know we are. The thing is the ties that the HS has with UM can't be underestimated. Also needs to be considered that all BTW kids play games. Brandon Harris was going to Ohio State...

    Golden has been telling all these kids that they won't get hit that hard. It will either make him seem truly trustworthy or like a liar when they come down. I can't imagine it taking past signing day at this point. I think they get LOA around October and the sanctions are announced ~Dec 15th.

    Croz, i respectfully disagree with this. Booker t is not the feeder school you believe it to be. It was when UM had that big pull in 08 with Brandon Harris, but since then there has really only been 1 kid who went to um since then. Central was also regarded as a UM school, that didnt stop Freeman from coming here or yearby from committing. As it currently stands we have a commit from a Booker t kid and UM doesn't.
    The idea that Booker t is a feeder school currently is a big misconception.

    I think it happens next year, could be before NSD, it could drag out like USC. A lot to track down in Miami's case.

    I agree with some other posters in saying that I believe they are at the point where further research would just be looking to check off the boxes that are already checked off.

    Before this Golden era stuff came out I was thinking they'd get something like 30 over 3 with no more bowl ban. But they are effing screwed now.
