Karlos Williams again..

  • How close is Bjoern to earning his degree? If he needs his degree still, then I bet he stays. If not, then I bet he goes.

I too think Lamarcus might stay - unless scouts see him as a CB; but even a 5'8'' CB is not apropos for the NFL.

    Xavier yes - he'll leave.

Lamarcus Joyner is functionally 5'10 or 5'11 as a football player. He makes plays with his hands/arms, not the top of his head. His long arms make him taller as a football player. NFL scouts and teams know this.

In the same sense, Clint Trickett is functionally an inch or two shorter than his height because of his long neck (release point is below the neck).

  • Bjorn may stay so that he could graduate with his wife - who's expected to get her degree after Bjorn's senior year.

Xavier no, Bjoern I would bet stays, Lamarcus is prolly 50/50

I think all 3 are gone after this year. Werner will leave because of his age and imo is more likely to leave early than Joyner.

And yet Brandon Jenkins returned because NFL scouts thought he could get stronger. Scouts will find holes in Joyner's game, trust me.

no doubt they will, but still doesn't mean he won't leave.... you have said his height is why he comes back.... he can't help that... I was basing it on thr type of year he might have and the fact that there isn't much else he can do to improve his stock cause his height is the only true knock right now

If your expecting Bjoern, Lamarcus, or Xavier back after this year your kidding yourself.

Just like we were kidding ourselves by thinking that Jenkins, Reid, and Rhodes would be back next year. Or that Bradham would come back last year. Each kid has to make his own decision, and lately they've been staying far more than leaving.

As for Joyner specifically, I still think he's got the ability to play CB at the next level, and 5'8" isn't as big a detriment at CB as it is at S. Plus he's thick for 5'8" and plays bigger than his size. As I sit here today, I do think he would benefit from getting four years under his belt in college, but that could change after next year.

And Terrence Brooks might be the better player, despite that athleticism.

Or Terrence Brooks can also run a 4.4, hit like a truck, etc.

Why are people complaining about a great talent being relegated to the bench because he's not as good as another great talent? This is the problem you're supposed to want to have.

Agree with this. And football is a sport where you need strong backups, and they typically play a lot anyways. And there's no salary cap in CFB (lucky for Auburn) so schools can stockpile talent at all positions.

Karlos will play. Let's just se how it all plays out.

  • I could definitely see Joyner as an NFL corner and it may help him wear and tear-wise. I have no doubt he'd still play physical as all hell but he wouldn't end up taking on lead blockers at CB as much as he may at safety. Like SpicNolie said, his arm length makes him taller. He'd be a pitbull CB like Antoine Winfield.
