Karlos Williams again..

I posted a few weeks ago about the future of Karlos and where he would be playing come fall. I made the comment about Terrance Brooks rumors, and now that we have heard Jimbo say it's Terrance Brooks' job to lose, where does Karlos end up? What do you guys think?

Safety..... he still has 2 years, he will get ton of playing time this year and will replace Joyner next year..... I do think Joyner leaves after this year.....

5'8 safety is going to be a tough sell to go pro early, even one as talented as joyner.

safety. Still young. He'll play a ton. Two guys does not a safety unit make.

Both Brooks and Joyner can play some corner too and that might become an option (in nickel esp) in 2013 when Reid graduates and Rhodes assumedly leaves too.

Joyner will have plenty of film after this year. The point is that most guys come back as a Sr to improve on something. Obviously Joyner will not be perfect but if his major knock is something he can't change and won't change then he might go pro.

If he doesn't make the move to offense this offseason I think there's absolutely no way he doesn't stay at safety for the rest of his time at FSU

all I know is Los has too much athletic talent to be on the bench.
maybe special designed plays from LB or safety position

I honestly don't care what position he plays.. He is such a dynamic player.. As long as he is on the field ANYWHERE I expect fireworks.

I believe Jimbo said recently, and I for sure concur, Safeties now have to be MORE cover positions. What with facing the spread more and more with 4 and 5 wide WR sets, you have to field at least that many DB's with the ability to cover, and also you have to develop your LB's as better cover slots.

he isn't going to grow to 6'1 overnight or in a year.... after this year his stock might not get any higher....... and it is not unthinkable for Joyner to consider himself ready.... you forget all it takes is one person to like him to be drafted.... his size will keep him from first round whether it is after his Jr or Sr year....

Atleast two more seasons in my opinion for him. He stays at safety. Big DB's with speed are rare.

I know everyone has high expectations for Los, and we can all see he's a talented player, but i think we need to look @ it from the other end and realize how far we've come in 3 short years. 3 years ago, Karlos would have started as a freshman because he was the best player on the field. Now we have multiple guys that appear to be able to do a tremeandous job and allow a younger player to develop a little more.

Nothing to see here. Brooks played well at the end of last season and earned the early starting nod.
Whether Los is 1st or 2nd man in he'll see lots of PT in the rotation.

Karlos will play safety opposite Joyner this year when we go to Nickle, and Brooks will slide to NB

I don't think it will be as tough as people think. Joyner is over 200 pounds, has great speed, instincts, coverage skills, etc. The only knock on him is his height, and he's not gonna get any taller.

Two years of film being one of the best, and likely most valuable player on an elite defense will provide all the proof NFL Scouts will need.

Lamarcus Joyner has much longer arms than most people at his height, so as a safety he is functionally a few inches taller.

And Terrence Brooks might be the better player, despite that athleticism.
Or Terrence Brooks can also run a 4.4, hit like a truck, etc.
Why are people complaining about a great talent being relegated to the bench because he's not as good as another great talent? This is the problem you're supposed to want to have.
