  • Hey guys, sorry if this has been asked but do you guys feel like his rankings are justified? I have not seen him play but from what I hear he sounds like a stud. I am not a huge rankings guy but was curious just to see why so many tend to think he is not a top 100 type player.

    Thanks!

  • I'd have him around No. 8 ILB and a 92 grade. Ranked in the 150 to 200 vicinity overall. So a bit higher than 247 has him.

Think this post will meet his dad's criteria and earn you the right to speak to him?

He's probably not a top 100 guy, but I think he's going to develop into a quality player. He's just not in that "elite" group. We have him as a four-star prospect, I'm comfortable with that.

  • That'll teach him to not give interviews to 24/7biggrin.

Some ceiling mumbo jumbo will be here soon. He's been to good for to long. Seriously underrated on 24/7.

  • There is a lot to like about Levenberry, but the question marks remain about his play. I believe he is a top 150 player and I lean toward the 100-110 mark. He can play far too stiff at times, but so did Nigel Bradham, even in HS. I think he will end up as a very productive college player.

  • If i may ask but what is opinion of talent based on, his stiffness or flexibility in pass coverage or side line to side line ability? Speed? I don't have much issue with is ranking because it doesn't really matter. Just want to know what his weakness or strengths are and what are the opinions on him?

I think Levenberry is going to be a better college player than a HS player. There are a lot of people who are down on him and to be honest, rightfully so, but I do believe that he has the tools to be an all conference linebacker at the next level.

    Strengths:
    *Large frame with good size
    *Heavy hitter
*Does a good job of shedding blockers
    *Solid when blitzing the QB
*Coverage skills are solid when covering tight ends, rather than running backs
*Gives 100% effort at all times and he simply wants to be great

    Weaknesses:
*His technique needs to become more consistent
*He shows poor form when tackling; tends to thud tackle too often, rather than wrap up
*His speed is not what you look for with an 'elite' linebacker and it
*He's not very instinctive. At times, on game film and not a highlight tape, you can see him sitting back and waiting for the ball carrier, rather than attacking.

  • the weaknesses are the skills that can be improved with coaching the strengths are a must have. so I agree he should be a better college football player.
