    U trippin bra, the whole argument was that Dade whooped Florida, and Dade is better at producing football talent than the rest of Florida.

    Dade County produces more great players than any other county in the country. It aint gonna help UM though because neither Thomas, Kirkland, Bryant, Collins, nor Burns sign with UM. It's just not gonna happen.

    Maybe not Collins but I have high hope in the rest.

    But your response to a particular post over UM record the past 3 years was about UM still putting more in the NFL which that has zero to do with Dade HS or HS players

    So...common opponents STA is 2-0 and Central is 1-1. STA is ranked higher and would be heavily favorite to win. Of course upsets happen and Central could possibly win, but its blind homerism to suggest Central is better than them. STA has more players in the NFL than Central, Booker T, Nortwestern all combined together right now!

    Go back and read the post... it had nothing to do with Dade, it had more to do with Miami the University not the HS schools in the Dade area...

    UM 20-17 over 3 years but has put more players in the NFl has zero to do with Dade HS kids.

    That was what I responded to, not that Dade as a county for HS players isn't a hot bed of talent

  • I have watched Central play a couple of Georgia teams in the past few years and agree that they have a decent high school football team...a good program

    They arent...they paly the toughest schedule in the country every year for a high school team. I would love to see them play each other. I am a big Central fan too. WHoever told you that is not telling you the truth tho. They were gonna play the great Nortwestern team a few years ago with Jacory if the Brynes team with Lattimore fell through but everyone wanted that match up more. STA has been the National Champions a couple times the last few years and probably their most loaded team ever a few years ago got upset in the playoffs

    This. I'm an alum of STA. People around South Florida, most STA detractors, are talking out of their you know whats when they say STA is scared to play Miami schools.

    George Smith is still the athletic director and gladly schedules difficult games for the program year in and year out to keep the Raiders in the national spotlight. If Central, MNW or Booker T approached Smith and wanted to set something up, I have no doubt in my mind Smith would gladly agree if he still had spots open on his schedule.

    However, I could see him turning down one of the Miami schools if they weren't ranked and if the game wouldn't garner state-wide and/or national attention. STA wants everyone to pay attention to their non-district games, aside from the dead rivalry with Cardinal Gibbons, which will never go away.

    Our coach is trying to set up a game with them for next season as well as Don Bosco Prep New Jersey.

    So if you put more players in the league, why only a 20-17 record? With that much talent the record should be better....right? If the talent is there but the results aren't, then it surely must be the coaching? Now you are going to tell me how great Golden is. Which one is it....more talent and poor coaching OR less talent and great coaching? Or could it be less talent and poor coaching?

    1.while UM football is irrelevant it still manages to put tons of players in the league! 2. St.Thomas would get spanked by Central, Booker T. Northwestern and maybe even Carol city. 3. We have 4 players from florida commited and We'll have more once Thomas, Kirkland, Bryant, grace n bostwic jump on board.

    UM managed to put players into the league. The number of NFL entries is declining rapidly.

    Gotcha. Wasn't sure. One could make a pretty solid argument that going 0-3 against ranked opponents and being outscored 126-36 in those games means you probably have less talent. Especially when you consider we gift wrapped 10 of those points for you and another 7 was scored in garbage time.

    If more talent gets you those results, I would hate to see what less talent would get you...ie, when schollie reductions hit.

    Golden did take over a 9 win team and went 6-6 his first year that had more players drafted than any team in the country. Probably not the best coaching job out there. He is a sub 500 coach for a reason

    Yeap we sure did go 0-3 against 2 teams that were number 1 at some point this season, and to the preseason national champs. We sure did score 7 points in garbage time, even tho it took 80 yds in 65 seconds. We sure did gift wrap u ur last td by going for it on 4th down and giving Freeman the ball at our 20 yard line. Schollie reduction means less players, not less talent.
