  • That guy was right about absolutely nothing the last time these rumors came up. All he reports are rumors and never actually backs up anything with facts. Last time he was throwing around dates and nothing ever happened. Also said it was a done deal last time. Wouldn't take anything he says seriously. Him or @tuxedoyoga or whatever the hell that Texas guys twitter handle is

    2) We haven't declined, we instead asked for a year to give the ACC a chance to see what they were going to bring to the table

    3) The Jimbo stuff is straight BS.

    I just dont buy this, no offense. The reason is because if we have, and have had an offer from the Big XII it would have leaked a long time ago. Add to this that not only do we have this super secret offer that hasn't leaked, but that we have shared it with the SEC and it still hasnt leaked........with lots of reasons for people to leak it for their own purposes/self gain.........it just isnt plausible to me

    I agree. I seriously doubt that we wouldn't have heard any discussion or an agenda item during one of the meetings. Geographically the SEC is a better fit, but FSU/Clemson make B12 better than SEC. I wouldn't mind seeing that at all.

  • I still think ESPN story was correct a few years ago when their "source" stated that FSU, A&M, Mizzou, and Clemson were joining the SEC.

    7) Breaking news... the reeling ACC has signed Texas and Oklahoma...making each division 7 teams... and prompting Notre Dame to join the conference full time. After signing, the ACC abolished itself to form a new super alliance... which will forever be known as "14 Ways to Die"

    Analyst expect this new super conference to quickly vote on a new "death penalty" -- which will require any team who leaves the conference to give up their top 5-recruits, every year, over the next 25-years, in addition to paying 14k pounds of gold (one for each team), and the first born child of the coach at the time.

  • I heard coach Fisher say it would be ideal if arkansas went back to big 12 and we just took there spot in sec. Not gonna give details when or where but thats almost verbatim of a quote from him. So the part of Jimbo wants out bc we are stuck in acc might have truth. I don't see him leaving, but if he does its bc the acc

    I doubt there's any substance to it, otherwise this wouldn't have been the first we heard of it. If LSU or Alabama came calling, he'd be foolish not to take it. Outside of those (and UF), any job in that conference is a step down or lateral move. People need to stop referring to the SEC as one. There are a lot of bad teams in that league.

    That's the first I've seen with the idea of a standing offer... Thought it was off the table last summer when it was messed up?

  • Asking people to explain how they "know" this stuff is ridiculous. (1) They have to actually know - which Bowden4prez might, I dont know. (2) Explaining it then reveals how he came to this knowledge effectively cutting him off in the future. The point of online forums is to allow people to kick this stuff around without giving up who they are.
