  • I think we get four (maybe five) guys drafted.

    Sanders
    Bradham
    Datko
    Harris
maybe Powell if a team needs a punter

We'll have a few more guys get camp invites though.

    EnterTheOcho

  • Hopefully the Jaguars snatch up Powell, because we have struggled to find a punter since we let Adam Polesh walk.

  • I remember how excited everyone was when we landed his commitment over LSU. Time goes way too fast.

I remember when our fans about burned down rivals for making him a three star

I remember when I suggested in 2008 on WC that JT was a nice RB, but not good enough, and that we need a guy like Trent Richardson. People threatened to kill my family.

  • I remember when he fumbled and screwed us out of a shutout of the Turds. That's how I will forever remember him unfortunately.

  • His senior season was disappointing, but I thought he was a good running back (when he got carries) during his time at FSU. I wish him the best.

Unfortunately that's how most will remember him! Even though he finished in the top 10 of career rushing stats.

I'll remember him for his Gator Bowl performance, his game against Virginia, crazy run against N.C. State but above all I'll remember him for the fumble.

Rest assured... THE WAR DANCE IS COMING!!!!

  • Talk about regression. His Fr yr was impressive w/ a ton of promise to come. Then......

Agreed about his fumble that cost us what would've been a shutout in hogtown. Still pissy about that one.

The lack of progression has been a glaring issue for this team since about ten years ago. From Chris Rix to Kevin McNeil to Antone Smith to Jermaine Thomas, there have been plenty of freshman who play well, but then don't seem to take another step.

I know every team has that, but FSU seems to have more. I can remember in 2005, there was a game when Justin Mincey and Neefy Moffitt (both freshmen) looked great, and a friend said to me "How excited are you about how great your defense will be in 2007 and 2008?" Oh well...

You've got to admit that the team's progression and development has picked up of late, especially on the D. Also, I think sometimes the fans need to distinguish between "progression" and "expectations".

I think it has a bit on defense--the DEs are a great example of that. Not sure about the LBs, and Rhodes seemed to have taken a step back in 2011 from where he was in 2010.

On offense, I think EJ hit his ceiling a while ago. With the WRs, we need to hope that Rashad gets better, not just remains the same. Seems like the WRs never get much better once they get in the program (Bert Reed looked as good as a freshman and he did a senior). Rodney Smith and Wilie Haustead need to step up, even though it's understandable why Willie may not. But even the rest--Dent, Shaw, CG, Haggins--someone needs to develop.

We'll see about the RBs. Jermaine and Ty never got better and were eventually replaced by Freeman, who is a good but not elite back. Let's see if Devonta or Wilder show some significant improvement in the next two years.

  • Remember Jimbo recruited him because of his pass catching abilities. He was supposed to line up in the slot. He was never supposed to be a RB here.
