Jermaine Eluemunor rated 87 initially....

  • Now Jermaine Eluemunor is rated 97. What is the huge bump in rated due to mainly? More film, increased size, better technique, all this in combination, etc. I really wanted him last year. That is a big jump to go from 87 to 97 in 3 1/2 months, esp none football months. He and Prince should be 2 of our top targets at OL. We would get a potential stud LT from both JUCO and HS ranks. Cole, Sharpe, Gibbons and a few others should be discussed in this conversation also..

    By the way, this is not a thread created to display everyone's dislike for our recent OL recruiting. I just want to hear more evaluation about this kid and other targets in the 2014 class. We all know that we aim to sign 5-7 OL targets this year or maybe more.

    I agree on this Cuthbert. I just wanted to know why they adjusted the ranking in only about 100 days. 87 is a good prospect, but 97 is an ELITE impact starter IMO. Something had to be seen to make this adjustment so quickly. he went from a 3 star to a 5 star in under 4 months.

    Could be as simple as new evaluators or new film.

    I'll wait for them to weigh in, but his timeline shows it was an initial ranking following our offering him a spot out of the blue. Then, they reviewed film and he got a bunch more offers. Now, reranked based on film, offers, and likelihood he qualifies. Just my guess.

  • Sometimes you just got to agree with the offer list. Most Juco OL are still waiting on offers but JE has Oklahoma, tOSU, FSU.....I mean if that doesnt say mid-four star nothing does.

    I agree. I just was thinking a 92-94 ranking. 97 IMHO means they project him to be an immediate starter or contributor if they are a JUCO ranked that high. Hope we can land him.
