Brissett is not a dual threat QB that you must be to succeed in that WVU system. Plus NC St has a better track record recently at putting QBs in the league.

The verison of the spread that NC state will run is the same that NIU was running which is more of a run based spread.. Holgerson is a Mike Leah protege, there verison of the spread is quick passes and quick reads and doesn't require a mobile QB

Yep. He was the WR coach at TT under Leach, the OC/QB coach at OK St. and the OC/QB coach at Houston. His offenses have been pass happy, but very balanced too. I think that's why his offenses have been more successful than Leach's.

I don't think it was a bad one, I just don't think it was the right one. Now, maybe there is more to his decision than just football that I'm not taking into account.

It was obvious as soon as Muschamp took over he preferred Driskel. Don't think it was ever in question no matter what he said about a fair competition. And when you look at actual play, I don't see how you would think that Driskel was a better QB. Better runner, definitely. Better to run an offense with no real weapons, most likely. But Brissett had some skills.
