i dont expect him to be. werner is a junior in college with 2 years of college coaching and experience. his film however reminds me of werner. hes got that same kind of brute power and motor. i dont know where you think i was saying hes as good as werner, hence why i said "the next werner"

LOL he is not the next Werner or in the same league. Not even close. Kid wished he had half of the explosiveness that Werner has. You just compared a kid who will be forced to play DT in college b/c he isnt explosive enough for DE to a guaranteed top 1st rounder DE.

really? i know this is sour grapes from you. if he committed to us im sure youd be saying he will be our next werner. im not going to hate on a kid i wanted because he chose to go elsewhere. im dissappointed he went to them but its no shock. i think hes plenty explosive and hes still got another year to work on his explosion and technique

It is not sour grapes from me, I DID NOT WANT HIM AT FSU! He is not explosive off the line and looks like he is topped out. You really don't work on explosiveness, it is like speed you either have it or you don't. The only comparison you will ever be able to make between Werner and Ivie is that they are both white. I can't think of the guys name but he hasn't played much if any football, had a 42 inch vertical and I believe was offered by FSU and was definitely offered by UM. Whoever that guy was, I would happily take him over Ivie.

I think he fits what UF is trying to do with the 3-4. He's a 5tech IMO. He would have most likely played DT here. That being said, Good player.
