I cannot believe we just lost to the worst team in the acc

  • Yes I was surprised because we lost to a terrible BC team who is worst than clemson and princton.

We were playing out of our mind the past 7 games. It had to end sometime, I just didn't think it'd be to a terrible BC team.

Yep. Honestly, I'm not scared of Miami. Heading up to UVA is not going to be fun.

  • is it bad that I am not surprised nor frustrated? I just figure typical basketball and will move on. Oh well!

Pathetic, good teams find a way to beat the worst team in the conference even on a bad night.

Except we are a good team and we didn't.

  • This is as good as it gets with Hamilton. Admittedly, it's not bad. It's much better than where we were under Robinson and we're definitely competitive nationally. But we'll always lose to a few teams we shouldn't. We'll always turn it over way too much. We'll always have trouble offensively. I just want to finish out the final 3 years on Hamilton's current contract with 6-straight NCAATs and hopefully another Sweet Sixteen. We should be able to hire a solid/good coach to replace Hamilton and hopefully take us the next step.

I just found it funny when people were looking at our schedule and saying we had a good chance to go 15-1/14-2 in the ACC after this 7-game streak. They must not have been looking at the schedule very well. We have home games against Miami and Duke. And we have road games against Miami, Virginia and NC State. A reasonable, objective, realistic person thinks we split those, going 3-2 at best, making 13-3 the best we'd achieve (which is why anybody who rooted for UNC tonight is an idiot). But I definitely didn't expect this, although, we did lose to Clemson by 20 and only score 10 in a half against Princeton so maybe I should've.

    Yep. Great points.

Honestly, trying to predict which games any FSU team will win/lose is an exercise in futility. Anyone can look like a genius by predicting anything between 10-6 and 12-4 and not look like a complete goombah.

  • Again, Hams colors come through! Folks, if you ever want anything but 3-4th place in conference, occasionally make NCAA tournament, no offense, unexciting basketball; then stick with Ham!! He has proven for 10 years, hell his entire coaching career that this is what you can expect. Insanity=doing same thing, expecting different results!!

  • I'm fine with keeping Ham. We are not a basketball school and I don't really ever expect to be. Maybe my apathy is part of the problem but my efforts with focusing on football and baseball are enough. All I can do about last night's game is just laugh at the people who bought in emotionally with this team.

We are in a conference with Duke and UNC. And soon to be Syracuse and Pitt.

Face it, we can't compete with those guys year in and year out in basketball. What Ham has done with this team. making us the 3rd best team in this conference is something. Look where this team was before he got here.

We made the sweet 16 last year and now (still) are tied for the ACC lead. What more to people want? We have frustrating losses, but we also have key wins.

Im not happy about last night either, but posts like this are insane

  • Anyone who didn't see a letdown game coming just come on. BC was on fire and we were cold. It happens. One loss doesn't matter if you bounce back with a W this week.

We're fixing to make our 4th tourney in a row.

Considering where the program was before, I am content with that.

I bet if you were a BC fan you'd expect to beat FSU and Clemson consistently.

  • Dr Jekyll and Mr. Hyde team IMO.
That MR. Hyde character is one fugly SOB. Hope he goes away.
    Bring back Jekyll!!!

  • I have no problem with us losing, per se. But holy schneikes, BC is bad fellas. #240 in the kenpom RPI bad. Ranked just below UNC-Wilmington, Mississippi Valley St, Pacific, Utah Valley, and Central Connecticut bad. This was the kind of loss we had when Steve Robinson was here.

I had thought this program had gotten past that kind of clunker, which is what makes it so disappointing. Our previous "bad" losses this season (Clemson, Princeton) were still to respectable teams. Hopefully it has the same effect that the Clemson loss had. We'll see on Saturday and FMFFM.
