My question would be, does it take unaminous vote to sign off or majority. I'm saying do what is best for fsu. If the sec signs this big new deal and we are making 10 mil less a year then we won't be able to keep up. Eventually the numbers will take their toll.

Actually:
UVA-major improvements tot eh stadium and new all football building, with weightroom
UNC-upgrades to stadium, and new football facility
NCSU-MASSIVE stadium upgrades, new football facility
Wake Forest-huge stadium upgrade
Duke-New football facility
Clemson-stadium upgrades, new facility
I don't know on GT, BC UMD, Miami
VT has a planned expansion
On 3rd tier rights:
In the Big 12, “third tier rights” consist of all those select women’s basketball, baseball and Olympic sports games as well as one select football game per season (the least desirable one) and a few select men’s basketball games (also, the least desirable ones). ESPN owns the Big 12 first-tier rights while Fox has its second-tier and the individual schools, the third.
I also present you the following link, courtesy of one Corey Dowlar (wtf does he know anyway?) read all that, then make your B12 is a better move than the ACC argument.

pben,
Using chuck oliver "The king" (at least in his own mind) of college football as a source? I am still waiting for his 2 premier UF wr's to actually get on the field. I know chuck, they were soooooooooo deep at wr last year.
He is mildy entertaining in his lack of analysis. an analyst's contest between The King and a sand gnat would be a competitive contest.
Chuck Oliver's analysis and $3.00 is worth $3.00.
you get my point.
At the end of the day, whether we win or not we still get ratings, as you already posted
Even if we were a national power this contract would still suck b/c it would still be South of 20 million. The difference would be our tier 3 rights. FWIW, Ithink OU gets arounf 5 million on OKLA for tis tier 3 rights. I suspect we could do a little better in a state with 19 million.
Should we go? Not sure. We will ro won't be good regardless of the conference affiliation.
However, those of you who thik the faculty senate can block a move need to put down the bottle. Hell, Mizzou went to the SEc and no one in its adm wanted to go to the SEC.

So, why do you keep shooting down everyone's guess if you don't know either?
Is it safe to say that after travel FSU could NET millions more in the B12? I think that's safe, how many millions is a guess. That is what everyone keeps saying, I think, that we'll make millions more, how many is a guess.
That seems to be a fact. Why do you continue to argue that part?
I know for a fact we're bolting. I can play the "doesn't matter we're not going" game. My Addidas buddies told me it's true...
All I know is I want to see better football draws come to Doak than UMD, NCSU, Wake, Duke, etc... I get excited about TCU, KU, OSU, etc... regardless of their football heritage. They're football schools. At least we won't be losing to basketball schools any more.
And before you argue that we've not been good enough...nothing in the last ten years, shy of last years team, has anything to do with this years team. The coaches and kids in their third year have something to prove. Before I consede to the competition in the B12, I'd like to see what we have this year. I'm expecting big things, certainly not 3 losses.

Great reply. Makes no sense like most of your posts in the thread.
Theoretically couldn't the B12 loan FSU the money and FSU pay it back and STILL make millions more than what the ACC will pay out next year? or for the next 9 years?
I know you love to stir the pot, so carry on...

Look, you just contradicted yourself...if FSU has to "borrow" the payout money, how exactly is that going to be paid back? From the Television contract thats how, throw in the new travel expenses and there goes your bump up..
Also I don't see how in the world FSU is going to sell its tier 3 rights for 5-8mill annually, that makes no sense. Attack me all you want, but I am far from the only one questioning all of this, just saying.
If giving another side is stirring the pot, then so be it.
