I am guessing this leads to hiring a full OC (re: Napier)

I don't think Jimbo will continue to slide down the list of lesser OC options (which are essentially position coaches, especially when we have two spots to fill and just got turned down by USF.
I would bet this is going to cause us to have to widen our net for top candidates and probably doing so by expanding the search to "true" OC candidates. Just a hunch.
Thoughts?

Only potential problem I see with finding a "true" OC is they might want to bring in a few of their own guys. We would only have one spot they could fill.
That may not even be an issue depending on who the OC is.

Pray to god this doesnt happen. He has been fired from his last 2 OC jobs at lesser programs. Would be the equivalent of hiring Jeff Bowden again.

I hope we go out and get the best OC in the game and he has is "Allowed" full play calling duties. Also maybe Jimbo will try and restructure their contracts to higher buyouts which I thought were absurdly low at 75,000-first year and 50,000-second year.

You can't have higher buyouts for assistants because you won't get any to agree to come here.

Sure you would, assistants at FSU get jobs with increasing responsibility, title and pay. The buyouts are covered by the new team, the only teams plucking our coaches can afford to pay the buyout.

if you can't get higher buyouts, is 75 and 50k the average at most big universities? Anybody know that info?
