I wish that I would remember Sanders for how good that he was and how flexible he was for the team but I think I'll always remember him for the holdings!

  • Jermaine Thomas-Great game against UM in 2010. Not the sharpest tool in the shed

Nigel Bradham-Hit on Byrd, interception against ND, always got better

Mike Harris-Solid, solid player, interceptions against UF

Shawn Powell-Best punter in FSU history

Terrance Parks- Pic 6 against UF, terrible player

Bert Reed- Never really liked his attitude or his game to be honest

Reliford- Missed TD catch against UF in 2010, interception before halftime against OU was all his fault

Sanders-Solid olineman who could do it all

Datko-Could have been great but the injury bug got him.

JT: never lived up to potential
    NB: under appreciated, hard hitter
    MH: under appreciated, solid DB
SP: best punter i've ever seen, reliable
    TP: safety who couldn't cover
BR: change directions faster than anybody on the field, quick
    Reliford: waste of scholly
ZS: never lived up to potential
    AD: injuries ruined him

  • JThomas: underachiever because he could never dedicate himself
Bradham: good player, huge hitter, good leader; the hit in the Miami game
MHarris: a great hope for the Juco people, playmaker
    Powell: elite punter
    Parks: stone hands, solid, Nole
Reed: overachiever, glad we got him, grew as a man
Reliford: good late steal, solid player, never turned the corner
Sanders: Good player, lucky to get him
    Datko: tough, leader, consistent, unlucky

  • Jermaine and Ty Jones running wild as frosh against Wiscy in the Champs Bowl.

Ty Jones balling on no ankles against VT in the ACC Championship.

Bradham's silly penalties early on but then settling down and playing his best ball.

Powell continuing the excellence of our kicking game. For a program known for big missed kicks we've had some of the best collegiate kickers to ever suit up.

Bert was a helluva player but all I remember is him talking.

Terrance the pick six of his life and redemption.

Mike Harris for picking off Brantley in Tally. Reid got hurt and my buddy said "uh-oh". I said watch Mike Harris, he's a better overall player. And boom he makes me look smarter than I am.

Zebrie for playing well down the stretch at LT. I hope he shapes up and makes it at the next level.

Datko will always equal shoulders too me.

What performance will they be remembered by in your opinion?

Jermaine Thomas : I'll remember debating with JC for weeks that he should be a 5.8 four-star at best.

Nigel Bradham : I'll remember him for going out with a bang, and that hit on LaRon Byrd.

Mike Harris : Surpassed my expectations

Shawn Powell : Greatest punter ....EVER, that I've seen in college.

Terrance Parks : Couldn't catch a football if it was tossed to him from 5-yards away....under handed

Bert Reed : The mouth of the south

Beau Reliford : Dumb as rocks

Zebrie Sanders : A gift from the Gators, and a solid to good RT

Andrew Datko : Could have been so much better if he wasn't injured all the time, but good enough to be better than most

  • Thomas-never lived up to potential.

Datko-Injuries never allowed him to see his potential but was often evaluated with rose colored glasses by posters-being evaluated as if he was healthy.

Powell will be remembered as a great punter-not enough credit is given to him. without him we have another 1-2 losses last year. he constantly flipped the field.

I don't think Reliford will be remembered much at all.

Sanders will be remembered for being used in a "come on man" segment.

If the ol doesn't come around he may be remembered for being the last ol that was drafted before Jimbo was fired.

Harris will be remembered as a solid corner

Bradham will be remembered more fondly as time goes by. The decleating ejection hit will be an fsu youtube hit for a decade or more

Reed-don't think people will remember much about him except he was a passable wr. Kind of like chris Davis.

Parks-will be remembered the way Kyler Hall is remembered now. I trust everyone gets my point. I see ya Bushido!!!

  • I look at these guys not as individuals but as a group. As a group, they won four consecutive bowl games against excellent, name brand competition in exciting style. As upperclassmen, they went 4-0 against UM and UF, and broke FSU's wretched streak vs. UF in dominant fashion. Moreover, they persevered through a tumultuous change of regime, and their buy-in to Jimbo's system helped provide a foundation for the good times to come.

Did they as individual players have strengths that will be remembered and weaknesses which will be lamented? Of course. However, football is a team sport and 95% of schools in America would be lucky to have this group of kids suit up for them on their team.

  • If we are being honest, I won't remember any of them. That said, I'm not a guy who doesn't remember a bunch of players from the past.. my memory just doesn't retain them very well.

    given2fly

  • Thomas - Had a good first few years and then injuries got the best of him plus being overtaken in the depth chart.

Bradham - Solid tackler; inconsistent throughout his career but put it together in his final season.

Harris - Above average corner with solid skills.

Powell - Incredible punter. Team MVP his senior season IMO.

Parks - Took horrible angles to ball carriers and receivers.

Reed - Great slot receiver. Too bad he was injured often his last few seasons.

Reliford - The Oklahoma interception. You know what I'm talking about.

Sanders - Solid offensive tackle. Nothing ever really stood out with him for me.

Datko - Would have been a great tackle if his shoulder would've cooperated.

    How will you remember :

Jermaine Thomas Nigel Bradham Mike Harris Shawn Powell Terrance Parks Bert Reed Reliford Sanders Datko

What performance will they be remembered by in your opinion?

Jermaine: Inconsistent. Fumble that cost us the UF shutout. Coming out party against GT in '08. Three early TD's against Miami in '10. And for rushing for over 800 yards two years in a row.

Bradham: Monster hits. He hammered Miami in 2010 and 2011. His grill. Leading tackler for 3 seasons. Catching Rainey or Demps from behind. Some dumb mistakes here and there.

Mike Harris: Model of consistency. Played like a champ against OU in '11. His hit against Miami's RB in 2010, where the back just sat there on his knees and elbows. His hit against Hammond against UF in '10. His INT's against UF.

Powell: Gonna suck w/o him. Best punter in CFB, but not even getting nominated for the best punter award. Huge in our '11 win against Miami. All those rugby punts against UF in 2010.

Parks: Out of position all the time. Few nice plays sprinkled in, pick 6 dagger against UF.

Reed: TD against Maryland in 2010. Juking out 3 defenders back-to-back-to-back using the same move. Game winning TD against BC in 2010. Ok player.

Reliford: Eh. Had a few catches against UF in 2010. Dropped a TD he tried to one hand against UF. He's lucky Easterling scored a play or two later.

    Sanders: Holdings. Solid tackle though.

Datko: Second best OL from the Datko, Hudson, McMahon, Spurlock, Sanders group. Would've been a moster if he stayed healthy.

Interesting. Dominant bowl win against Wiscy, sending Bobby out a high note against the favorite West Virginia, holding off USCe, and fighting back against Notre Dame. Then dominating UF and Miami for their final two seasons.

Mine might be a little different than most, but here goes...

JT: I'll remember him running wild over GT in Atlanta in 2008...he was a beast that day...we should have won that game....

Nigel Bradham: Lots of good memories here, but his hit vs Miami this year was his signature moment. I'll also never forget the near-riot in Doak when he was ejected.

Mike Harris: I'll probably remember the first time I noticed him in the 2010 opener vs Samford. He got that awkward looking pick and I remember thinking 'well, maybe this JUCO guy will be solid in his time here'.

Shawn Powell: I'll remember running into him at Tampa International airport after the season...struck up a conversation with me when he noticed my FSU hat. Chatted for about 15 minutes...cool cat.

Parks: I'll remember a lot of missed assignments and poor coverage...but i'm pretty sure the lasting memory will be him floating into the endzone on that pick vs UF last year. Put that game away...

Bert Reed: I'll actually remember the TD he scored vs Maryland in 2010 (I think...maybe 2008?). Caught the ball over the middle, made a move...sliced and diced his way another 30 yards or so into the endzone. Exactly the kind of play you'd expect from his position...wish we would have seen more like them.

Reliford: Lots of negatives here, but i'll always remember that beautiful touchdown play @ UNC during our great come-back. Ponder dropped, had time....check, check, check and then see's Reliford all alone on the sideline. Launches it up, caught, easy touchdown. It was a beautiful play...not sure if he was running the right route, but he sure was in the right place at the right time.

    Sanders: Solid, just solid.

    Datko: Oft injured

I'm going to remain positive because they all busted their asses:

Jermaine Thomas- Best RB "who looked like he would lose his balance on any given moment" ever to play @ FSU
    Nigel Bradham - The Hit
Mike Harris - Very unsung player, solid
Shawn Powell - Best punter in FSU history
    Terrance Parks - Nice Hair
Bert Reed - 2 Pt Conv throw vs BC (Thought we would pull it out)
Reliford - Didn't get into any trouble
Sanders - Made all of his holding and phantom holding calls count
    Datko - Tough as nails
