This story is just another example of why it's so stupid that John Crist (NoleDigest Publisher) has ran off so many of the 10+ year subscribers like Fish and myself. Fish was a major asset to NoleDigest and John's killing it. Geoff is gold, but it's now all NoleDigest has. It's sad. A big proponent of that site for a number of years, it's like watching a family member die of cancer. It sucks.

I know Fish well, and we have a personal business relationship and talk often. We hung out at the coaches convention this year. He's not just well connected, but he's well liked in the coaching community. Yes, like myself he has a pretty forward personality, but in his profession, it works. And man, the guy really cares about the kids first and foremost. Some people have better "board" personalities and are insufferable in person, others like Fish are great with the kids, coaches and communities and vent a bit on the boards. Fish is a guy you should meet one day. Good guy, good heart.

Fish is doing what I did when I left NoleDigest last September.. he's burnt out and is taking a break. He's not sure (yet) where he'll go wherever he goes, but like me, it will never be where John Crist is (currently NoleDigest) and Warchant.

I know some old members of NoleDigest won't be happy with this post - seeing it as exposing another site's dirty laundry over here... but I get constantly asked about Fish and where he is, and going, and having been on that site for 10+ years like Fish, I think I have a little leeway on explaining reality a bit. It is what it is. Anyone that's read John Christ (Noledigest Publisher) letter to Fish that's widely circulating, understands. If anyone wants a copy, just ask in PM.

Edit Update: I just got off the phone with Fish, told him about this thread (he laughed), and says "HI".
