what about BF from VT?

Stoops came to FSU to build up a rep so that he could be a HC, mission accomplished! This is going to bode well for the young up and coming DC that would like a HC job. They saw Stoops get a D-1 offer in 3 years, and we have the players to make the next guy look just as good. Brent Venerables is over rated, he was playing under Stoops. Sorta like being the DC under Saban, what's the point??

I don't see Bud Foster's name on the list.

Just a reminder guys, Stoops came out of left field right up until the week he was hired which was the first week in December. You heard guys like Smart, Sunseri, Hudson, etc. not a soul even brought up Stoops. I would be really surprised if the DC is on the initial list of guys mentioned. Nobody even thought Stoops was even an option until he was interviewed.

I seem to call Hudson having some really good defenses at East Carolina. They were relevant when he was there and haven't done much since that staff left. I remember them bringing the heat too.

They were also playing in the C-USA.

What I meant is don't take too much from his defenses beating up on C-USA offenses.
