Hold on, Clemson may have a deal with Big XII

Clemson blogger @CoryFravel says sources close to the university claim to have reached a deal, in principle, for a move to the Big 12. Bushido and I noticed this on twitter yesterday, and now it seems to be picking up some steam. Here's the article.

I find it hard to believe the Big 12 would have greenlighted Clemson without FSU in the fold.

It was reported late last night that FSU/Clemson had reached deals in principle. Debate still on going on if the Big12 expands past these 2 teams. Looks like smoke is turning into fire.

Horns fans would scream bloody murder if FSU was not part of expansion.FSU has a much better football tradition much the same as Texas and ou.

clemson would not go on its own. So if this is true, FSU or ND is also going to the big 12.
I debate whether Clemson brings enough to be the 11th team without the 12th team being already known to the big 12.

If I were a FSU fan, I'd be more concerned about going it alone w/o Clemson.

I somewhat get the same feeling. It seems very strange that FSU and CU both have verbal deals in place when they have taken two completely different approaches. By that statement I mean how CU has been very quiet and FSU has a ton of chatter from a bunch of different people. I hope it is a case of both schools join the big 12 and CU just handled it way better and more ninja-like. The mistakes of loose lips can be forgiven if we actually get to the big 12.

This. Clemson is just the tag-a-long. They weren't going to cause the big stink that FSU is doing to get out of the conference because Clemson is only going to the Big 12 because FSU is going.

This is true but all of these schools should want to secure themselves as one of the four "super conferences" and try to compete with the SEC.
