@gswaim has some interesting comments but take it for what it's worth
1- ACC is doing everything they can to keep us. More money, demands, etc.
2- Big 12 has offered to pay ACC buyout.
3- ACC sucking up to FSU is making other teams angry.

Also mentioned the SEC does not want FSU in the Big12 so they might get involved as well.
He is making sound like bidding war has started for ACC teams with FSU as the main attraction.

It is all a big poker game right now. We should get more money, so should V-Tech since we are the two schools that are carrying this TV deal. I think they need to also overhaul the officiating at the very least as well.

If we somehow weaseled our way into the SEC because of this I would be the happiest person in the world. I know it's tougher but it's so worth it

There is no way the ACC can offer us the money the big 12 and a 3rd tier contract would. I imagine they would have to pay least $10 million extra (to the current $13 million) to us and that won't happen. I can't see other schools agreeing to that. The ACC is only making $13 themselves.

Just listened to the 10 min podcast he tweeted the link to. He made it sound like the only hold up is us wanting to bring UM with us.

Unequal revenue sharing is what caused teams to first leave the Big12. Texas had the same attitude about carrying the conferenceas well. This could piss off the "have nots" and still lead to teams leaving the ACC, just not FSU.

Same thing Ethridege said two weeks ago. Florida State wnats Miami to come with them so that they don't lose the rivalry. There's no way FSU will play Florida AND Miami on a year to year basis as NON-conference opponents + Big 12 schedule.

Barron pointed out losing Miami as a big con in his email....I would rather take Miami with us but we may have to go alone and hope to bring them along later after they have had time to clean up the Shapiro mess.

Big 12 should add FSU and Clemson and then wait one year and tell Notre Dame they have a year to decide and tell Miami they have a year to show they have a plan. Not sure what the plan would be because they'll never have an on campus stadium. I wish Miami played in the new Marlins stadium more than SunLifeless.
Anyways, add FSU and Clemson then aim for Notre Dame and then either Miami or Louisville next year. JMO.
