Veteran assistant coaches don't want that title. Why do you think Coley doesn't have that title here anymore? Because he moved up the pecking order. If we miraculously manage to hold on to Eliot after Stoops takes a new job he will no longer be recruiting coordinator as well.
RC is a bunch of extra busy work, phone calls, paperwork, etc. It's why John Lilly had the title before Coley. He was pretty much low man on the totem pole in Bobby's staff.
Gates are too much sometimes....especially Bob. I wonder if he is jealous of Weis getting to cut in line at Dunkin Donuts.
