I don't know why people are shocked. We were never as good as our record indicated and we were never the best team in the country. Our staff this year has improved a lot, but they are still average. We are relying on freshman and pitchers who were bad under Shouppe. We don't hit as well as we have previously, and after Boyd we have absolutely no idea what we are going to get from the lineup. We are a good team and will still receive a national seed, but a super regional appearance would be a good season for this team.

We have exceeded my expectations for this season and for most people that actually follow our baseball team.

I said at the beginning of the season and still contend that I would be happy to make an SR and ecstatic if we managed to win it. Regional BBQ is below expectation, End of regional win/loss is right on the bar.

I'm not overreacting at all. This has been my opinion for over a month.

This was my preseason prediction so its not really an overreaction. We haven't faced alot of the good teams in the conference yet. NCSU is up and Clemson is pretty good. Our best series in conference is against Miami and they have spiraled downwards.
