If Jeremy Pruitt created an X-factor player for his defense it would be Matthew Thomas. Plus we are mixing in a lot of 3-4, that's a 33% increase in LB pt opportunities.
He can blitz like a super star from the Mike position. Just watch, hard working, smart kid. He will show up at 225+ this summer and be 230 for the season.

What's your honest prediction for Matthew Thomas? I think he plays a very similar role to what Tyriq McCord did in Miami last year. Thomas is way beyond McCord as a player and McCord had 4.5 sacks.
I think Thomas gets maybe one start this year when two guys are out. He gets 30tckls, 6sacks, 2 FF.
Year two he goes wild. 80, 12, 5

He said talent, not best.
Best LB means he would have the most developed, prepared talent. Most talented just means that even though he may not play much, may not know much, he has the most TALENT.
I would put MT unequivocally over everyone else on our roster. We don't have another LB in his league. Christian Jones is a less limited athlete than Bradham and MT is less limited than CJones. Be excited, no one is knocking CJ or Telvin....they just arent as talented as MT6

What exactly define TALENT:
Size, Speed, Quickness, Change of Direction, Instincts, Intelligence, Intangibles??
Whatever attributes define talent for you, what makes you certain that he exceeds the guys we already have?
I guess I need some parameters and definitions to fully understand how a 5* LB who's not on campus yet is already more talented than the 5* and 4* LBs we already have.

Height, length, speed, agility, fluidity, innate influential nature to their game, leadership, etc etc etc. You know good and well what "talent" is you are just mildly offended that I am saying he's got more than guys on our roster. It's just the truth. Ask JC Schurburt, Gerry Hamilton, Chris Nee, Josh Newberg.....they'll put MT at the top.
He's really really special.

I'm not offended at all, I just think it's a silly statement to make before the kid steps foot on campus.
All of the things you named that define talent just means he'd perform really well in a combine type setting. We've seen our share of those guys come and go that couldn't play a lick.
Again, I'm not knocking MT at all. I fully expect him to be a stud and potential 3 and done type guy. I'm just not ready to crown him as the most talented LB we have right now.

You obviously didnt read my posts nor know much about MT if you suggested he's not proven on the field. Forget it. If you think MT is just another kid we have to sit back and see if they can cut it then its just gonna be Boehner vs Barack on tax rates for us to keep discussing it.
