Once upon a time FSU athletes [with the exception of the football team who did it the old-fashioned way; i.e. steroids etc.] had the most progressive coaches and trainers in the country. Yes, many of the ideas and training strategies were used first at the college level at a small group of progressive colleges. Good to see FSU athletes getting to the vanguard again. Especially good to see a football coach leading the way.
This is one of the reasons I like Jimbo. Advancing the program by thinking outside of the box.
appears to be a very impressive program with spot on practical application. Such a change would require a complete buy in by coaches and staff. I could see where it may difficult to start adjusting the dials when your on a path to championships. But it's sometimes making those proactive adjustments that can can be the difference to separate the team from its competition.
I think it would be interesting to see this employed.
Life is good. Now lets go win another championship.
This will not only improve performance it will also improve safety. If there had been this type of technology in use in the late 90's, Devaugn Darling might still be alive. Hopefully they will incorporate pressure sensors in helmet's to help the staff to quickly diagnose concussions.
FSU Football. Making cool the new swag since 2013.
