WE have a good in with Tunsil with former Nole Brian Allen the HC at Columbia. Jernigan will also be in his ear. We need to reel him in but the Gators will be tough.

There are so many connections with Tunsil that it would really be a tragedy if we couldn't land him.

Do you know if FSU has any interest in a kid from Jacksonville Sandlewood High School, last name Rocker? I know South Carolina is pursuing him but he has FSU as number one.

We have a lot of work to do with this recruiting class. These guys started playing football when UF was winning titles. It's not surprising that UF is killing it in 2013 already.

TOM- Would Pender be a good comparison for Green? Green is listed MUCH bigger than Thompson was coming out of HS.

Id like to get an accurate size before answering. Josh and I both agreed that Thompson is a good comparison. Pender is a touch back with speed while Green is the slasher, homerun hitter.

Fair enough. Pender looked like a homerun hitter to me on film, but I'll admit to watching very little of it.

Pender is a different breed. He has so many great qualities. He is a homerun hitter, but he is a thick, strong back as well. He is not the monster than Wilder was coming out of HS, but he is the type of back that can get 20-25 carries a game and not feel it. Green, in my opinion, just doesn't have the body and strength to take a pounding like that... yet. One year can work wonders for him. Green is a tremendous back though. Don't take anything as a slight. I just think Green is more versatile. He could easily split out wide and be a slot receiver. He is just the type of kid you get on campus and watch his athleticism shine.
