  • These rankings are ridiculous. First off, Paul Rhodes vs Shaw at Stanford is a JOKE. One took over for the greatest HC in CFB in over a decade in Harbaugh, who did the unthinkable building Stanford to that level, and the other is an up and coming HC at one of the most difficult BCS schools to recruit to in the country. Rhodes is miles better than Shaw at this point.

Mike London's ranking is pure dog shit as well. He is an outstanding coach, and placing him below some of these clowns who have done nothing is disgusting.

Jury is out on Golden. I love everyone saying the man is already on his way to being a coaching legend, because of what he did at Temple. Sorry, Temple is in Philly, which is more than can be said for most of those teams in that crap conference. The only time that Temple was a bad job, was when they were clearly outmatched in the Big East. But when they stepped back to where they belong, look at the towns some of those schools are in, and you tell me if that is your competition, should you not be an upper echelon team in that conference. They flat out should.

Sarkisian at Washington. Again, that school used to hum. Sarkisian has about two more years before it's probably time to move on. Washington shouldn't be an annual 7-5 team with the money, history, and fan base that they have. When Erickson can build Oregon State into a BCS team, and is ranked below Sarkisian who has done nothing, I laugh at that.

Bret Bielema. Long time underachiever, and finally lands the OC / OL coach of his dreams, for him to bolt this off season. Let's see how that works out before we crown Bilema a great coach. Most likely, it will be his assistant that proves to have been carrying that team.

Mark Richt - more with less. Had the SEC by the nut sack prior to Saban arriving at LSU, a school who had half the tradition, and bam, falling, Urban Meyer at Florida (shit, Zook at Florida), bam, falling, enter Chizik, bam, falls further. Richt is a top 40 coach in CFB doing just enough to keep his job. Mark Richt to me equals Tommy Tuberville at Auburn. And they have Tuberville in the 50s. Said another way, Richt at Texas Tech would be a 7-5 tops coach as well.

Ault is a laugher at 23. Dude has had a career of mediocrity - but he did beat Boise State one year, so that makes him great, thanks to Boise State missing 3 FGs, including game winning chip shot. LOL.

If Chip Kelly isn't the second best HC in CFB, I don't know who is. Behind Saban, Kelly has the least amount of "bad" losses in CFB. The guy flat out beats who he is supposed to beat, and the only losses he has accumulated, are to teams with more talent than he has. Said frankly, you stick him at LSU, and he would win as many MNCs as Saban over the next 10 years, that's for damn sure.

That is what seperates great coaches from elite in my book. The great ones can win a championship. They be a top 5 program. But what keeps them from elite, is the constant snake bite that they shouldn't have taken during the season (Pete Carrol prime example). The elite (Saban and Kelly), get their team up every week of CFB.

So you changed because of games late in the season when our OL was completely decimated? Cool.

You dont rebuild an OL in a weekend.

The oline was an issue before the season even started, I simply do not like how Jimbo calls games, sorry if you do not like my opinion, I gave him the benefit of the doubt, but I see a pattern developing.

I am continually baffled why people give these things a second thought.

I could put out an arbitrary list as well... I don't see why anyone cares.

  • I agree the OL was an issue coming in....we lost some guys to injury and there was uncertainty around Datko, obviously we saw how that played out too. You cant blame Fisher for injuries. As far as building the OL...we dont know what was going on with OL recruiting under Bowden the last frw seasons but you cant put it all on Fisher if youre fair and rational. I mean do you blame kids for not wanting to come towards the end with bowden? I cant. All we can do is give Fisher a fair shot to rebuild his own OL. As far as how he calls...having a reliable OL has to have an effect on how we go about things and having mature guys. Im fine with Fisher and dont think hes had a full shot to really let loose but hes been trying to get the pieces to get that full arsenal and we could see it this season. When you cant be balanced its got to be hard to use all the tricks in the book. Lets give the guy a shot. Theres no denying there has been improvement and im ok with allowing him more time to get all the pieces in place. This season we could really be in for a treat.

The ol wasn't decimated-it just sucked. Snider and Sanderson would not have helped because they weren't any good.

Datko? he had been hurt for 3 years.

The coaching rank does not matter.

But chizik and Dabo have produced and Jimbo has not .

I am not sensitive-but Golden is a better coach than Jimbo-at least right now. We'll know by December if hiring Jimbo was a mistake.

Everybody on here gives you hell, but at least you aren't a homer.

  • Lol Jimbo > Golden today, tomorrow and the day after ...

    NoleDude

  • Our OL probably would have sucked but to act like losing guys like datko, orelus, spurlock, etc doesnt matter is just wrong. Once again Fisher was not in control of these things. Either way, you still should give the man a chance to have his own OL in place. Also whoever mentioned the officiating also made a great point. We got hosed!
