Love the idea of bringing Cristobal in for a year (since he will be gone after that), but it would help Miami recruiting and would be a big "f off" to da U.

what a stupid idea.....like cristobal will leave his hometown team for a lateral position at FSU

Doesn't make sense. Who cares if the guy doesn't bring a 2013 relationship with him. His s guy, display solidarity, tell him to spend the next 12 days crushing the phones for 2014.

I'm to impatient to wait until February....
When do the new recruiting rules go into effect? Don't they allow you to use all 10 coaches instead of just 7 at a time? If they went into effect as soon as they were passed then it puts us at a disadvantage going into NSD.

IMO I think what happens is: Sanders to QB coach, Napier to OC/TE coach, hire a RB coach. You could switch the TE/RB roles on Napier.

Jimbo's playcalling philosophy should be questioned at times, but in terms of the other priorities of being a head coach, I think he's done as good a job as any out there. Priority #1 was getting the players needed to compete for national championships. What did he do?? #1 and #2 recruiting classes in the country in back to back years.
We lose Coley and possibly a few recruits. We get Pruitt and DeMarcus Walker. We can't get everyone.
IMO, coordinators are just like recruits: they can either be great or they can be horsesh*t..
People are too quick to assume that Jimbo has no idea the circumstances that surround him in terms of the high expectations put on him. He's a coordinator at heart so its' highly unlikely he's going to bring on some scrub of a coordinator that has nothing to show for.

A guy like Jimbo is pulling 15 hour days right now. He can't spend 1.5 on calling around for a coach? We are only after about 15 guys right now with a staff helping him out. He has the time.

If we get a real OC we just need him by spring. If it is a position coach we really do not need one. So there is no real timeframe.

We should offer a bunch of Miami coaches big raises and force Miami to match them which will hurt their athletic dept.
