    FWIW both Lucky and Tim Watts said that Jackson would be a 5 star prospect possibly higher rated than Vonn Bell if they would have gotten in on him sooner. They simply say that he is the possibly the best DB in this class next to VHIII. Thats saying ALOT.

    Those guys must be serious Bama homers. I'll go by the experts like Voght who has been posting scouting reports of him for a year now and Fish. Although both are very high on him too but that just sounds like homersim. I wonder how many BA games they have seen.

    Well, who did all that beautiful work the the DBs at Alabama the past few years? Pruitt. I'm sure Bama is NOT a slamdunk. This will be close. We are definitely in it.

    Saban coaches the DB's himself at UA. Pruitt also helped but the DB's were Sabans priority.

    Eddie Jackson has good senior film, but in no way did the "best evaluator in the business" watch it and completely forget the 2/3 years of film he watched on all the top DBs

    I can assure you and I am sure the mods here will agree that Tim Watts is not biased towards any school or fanbase. He tells it like it is and doesnt sugar coat anything.

    Now as for Lucky I have no clue about his bias but both guys have nothing to gain to tell everyone that a player should be a 5 star or shouldnt be.

    Yeah, they laid it on REAL thick. Kid is talented but I'll stop short of saying he's on that VH3, Alexander, or Ramsey level and feel very comfortable in doing so

    I agree, obviously they see something alot of evaluators dont. The good thing is if either one of us land him that will only be a good thing for that team if they are right.

  • Jackson is one of my favorite recruits left on the board, and I would love to have him in this class.

    But a 5 star he is not.

    I guess when you have Alabama, Florida State, and LSU all offering a very firm offer to come play then they must really want the kid. All of those schools programs put DB's in the league. 1st rounders at that.

    Of course. Pruitt has had his hands on a lot of the players that have gone through that secondary though. Saban doesn't have time to focus his attention solely on DBs. He has an entire team to run.

    You see what happens (Fisher) when a head coach tries to focus on one unit...

  • None of us needs an inside scoop to have an opinion. The more unadulterated opinions on the board the better. I, for one, say #6 ends up in Tally. That's how I feel; that's what I believe. I have no source to back that up. But that's ok.
