umm... our depth is unbelievable except O-Line. I trust in Hart but would love if Tunsil came in and they split reps.
The defense is going to be one of or the fastest defense in the country
I'm excited to see how scary the offense is going to be. With the depth and the talent with a highly skilled QB, its going to be scary to watch.
At least I hope

I see what you are saying. I just threw him in there at the DT rotation to get some reps in.
I don't see Karlos starting over Brooks. I'm just hoping Pruitt will find a place for him on the field and defiantly have some schemes for him as a spy or deep safety.
But at 6'4 235 pounds 4.4 speed and ability to find the football I wouldn't care if he played linebacker just get him on the field!!!

So many things wrong with this. So Karlos should just give up, and not work hard to try to overtake Brooks at that position? Deserving is great and all, but if we have those two battle it out all spring. Then we get two battle tested players come fall. Play the best one, END OF STORY!
Also should add i don't care which one it is.

He gives up 20 lbs to Polamalu.
I'm not a scout but I'd be willing to bet the real ones will want to see LJ at CB in drills next year at this time.
The long arms, the speed and the physicality have CB written all over him. That's a waste at safety. Just my opinion but it bears watching when he graduates.
I'm interested to see how Pruitt uses him especially given our corners lack of physicality in the run game. There were instances were these guys looked like they didn't want to hit anyone.

We're going to have to agree to disagree on his position. I think you are very wrong about his position. I can't fathom anyone in the NFL wanting to move him back now, particularly with how important it is these days to have safeties with the ability to cover slot receivers. And he is lighter than Polamalu currently, but still has another year of school.
We can agree, though, that he's a damn good player.

I don't see why it's such a stretch, it happens all the time in the pros. He didn't set the world on fire at safety last year either. Not that he was bad, far from it, but I haven't seen anything out of him at safety that makes me believe he should stay there. Like I said though, just my opinion and we'll see what happens. We do agree that he's a helluva player too.
