FSU will do another European tour this offseason

Leonard Hamilton just confirmed during his post-game press conference that the 2013-14 FSU Men's Basketball team will do a European Tour.

I guess the athletic budget may not be as tight as in the recent past. When we were and then we weren't 2mill in the hole. Tour the northwest and keep the money at home in the US, or better yet, invite the Europes to come to Tally and see all our beautiful girls. Keep the money local.

I know what your saying Nash but I believe there are specific rules in place that allow a team to get significantly more preseason games and practice time if they go over seas for a few weeks. Those extra games could be a huge benefit to a young developing team.

I believe it is 10 practices and 4 games. So it is valuable time for a team.

Wonderful. I still take exception to the expenditure, and believe the money could be ticketed for another place in our athletic budget proper. Also, is this opportunity available to our women's team too?

Good. I'm for it in that case, but as a $$$$$ contributor to our program, wish to see even application of resources.

They went to Spain, and yes it does do wonders for the team development both athletically and chemistry wise. It could be a great boon to the development of this young team, especially for the freshmen coming in to get acclimated better to the system. It can only help when you look at the situation we had this season.
