does anyone see us having much of a shot with a hawaii kid that says location is one of the most important factors? I don't blame the staff for going after the best kids...but I'm not putting too much stock in landing this kid.

Unless he stays in Hawaii, won't distance be a problem anywhere he goes?

Possibly. The way I look at it, you have a long flight regardless of where he goes to school.

Yeah i dont know the exact logistics either but i have a feeling its cheaper, easier, and shorter to fly into the west coast from hawaii than to tally.

Depends where he goes to school. If it's in a major city, then of course, it would be cheaper and easier. But if it is a small city, you will likely have connecting flights and added costs. Regardless of where he goes, a plane ticket will be expensive and travel will be long. The question is, if you can put up with 8 hours and $700 to travel to California, will you put up with 12 hours and $1,000 to travel to Florida?

I hear you on all and feel its just unlikely he comes here. All that stuff will seem to matter to him and if it is "just" 300 more bucks...well that adds up quick especially wgen you are wanting others to be able to come to your games too.
